Is it possible to make it so that those who contact me in chat receive my reply both in chat and in their email inbox? Sometimes the person who writes in chat then logs off and doesn't come back for quite a while and I would like to make sure that my reply is read. Thank you

This is done automatically by Intercom. They should receive both the chat and an email (as long as they have an email address on their account).
I just tested this myself on our system and was sent an email.
It's wired as I did exactly the same and I did not receive anything. Thank you anyway
You might need to reach out directly to Intercom support on this one.
