I'm currently building my sire at vela-apparel-shop.myshopify.com and I'm wondering why my chat bubble pops up for only a split second before disappearing. Also, when I try to complete set up on the Intercom site, it give me the error 'We havenʼt received any data from your installation. Please check the instructions and try again.'

 

I've checked the connection many times now and no luck. Any help?

I checked your site, it looks like the security settings of the intercom messenger are incorrect.

Here's the guide on how to fix it:

1. Go to Messenger Settings -> Keep your Messenger secure

Intercom-App2. Clear the "List your trusted domains" field

3. Click the "Save and set live" button:

SetLiveThen Access your website (http://vela-apparel-shop.myshopify.com/ and check the Intercom Messenger.

Hey thank you so much for your help! So that solved it but just for future: the instructions had me put a '.' before my domain and then an asterisk. This and your suggestions 'http://vela-apparel-shop.myshopify.com/' did not work. What did work was just simply putting 'vela-apparel-shop.myshopify.com'. When I move my actual domain over and go live, do I need to add all three variations (with https, http, and without either)? Thanks again!

If you want to secure your messenger, you should put there your domain-like:

domain.com; domain.de (Without HTTPS or HTTP).
