Does Intercom's product tours support applications using web components?

Looking to integrate Intercom's product tour within our application. The application front end is built using web components. A technology that uses a concept called shadow dom. Applications that use the shadow dom technology can not have elements found within web components using the browser's native element querying approach.

If more information is needed like a demo of some sort feel free to reach out directly.

Hey @yonis Racheal from the support engineer team here👋

I've had a look around on our side and in some older conversations to see if we can workaround this and found some discussion from our engineers which let me know it is a limitation of the library where it won't work with elements with the shadow dom.

It seems that in some cases customers were able to workaround this by adding specific targets to the elements and then hooking onto those. In particular it's adding "data-intercom-target" tags to the various elements as described in this section of this article. It does seem that if this strategy doesn't work then at present there's no way around it. Definitely a great suggestion for the @Product Wishlist
