It could be done manually e.g., with a multipole choice but I would very much like a default Yes/No option that will allow us to send users down different paths based on their answer. Also it would be useful to add user separate user attribute based on the reply.

You're spot on that the way to create this would be using a multiple choice type Survey, I love the idea of a built in option as well as adding custom user attributes to our branching logic, I'll flag this as a feature request for the team, a great one for the @Product Wishlist​!
