What's the best way to link customers from an email to intercom messenger?

We’ve got a “Contact Support” button or an “Ask a question” call to action in an email. How are you guys linking to get people to engage with the Intercom Messenger? We have a contact page, that auto-pops up the messenger. But would love to see how others are handling this. Thanks!

Hey there @User2284 !

I’d love to hear how other Intercom Users approach this topic.

One though I have is to disable the "Allow conversations to continue over email" setting.

This will ensure that email notifications link back to the webpage with the Messenger installed, rather than allowing the conversation to continue over email.  NOTE: if you email a user directly, they will still be able to reply via email.

Additionally, as a general practice you should continue to inform your customers about the Messenger and encourage them to use it for communication with your team. It sounds like you’re team is already doing this, though.

Hoping others will chime in with their suggestions!
