I need to bulk delete a company tag and I'm not seeing any way to do this easily. I don't want to delete the tag entirely because it's being used in other places. I'd also like to avoid having to do it one by one since that will be time-consuming.

It's not possible within the UI to untag companies in bulk, but this can be done using the API. You'll need the name of the tag and an array of the company IDs you want to remove from the tag.

Do you have a specific attribute/type of company you'd like to be untagged?

 

I'd be happy to put together a script to do it for you, permitted you/your developer knows how to run it.
