Hi community,

We have recently switched to Intercom and I need a bit of help from you guys!

On our website, we have a couple of forms, that visitors can fill out, to ultimately become leads (some MQL's, some SQL's, and some PQL's - but let's leave that out of it for now).

I am currently struggling to find out, how to create contacts automatically for people that fill out these forms.

This may be a very basic question, but my searches around the internet has left me with nothing.

Thank you, guys!

Hello @user334 , Welcome to Interconnect 👋

Let me try to help you with this, You can create lead or customer in Intercom via API.

For more information:

https://developers.intercom.com/intercom-api-reference/reference#create-contact

If you are using Google Form or Typeform, you can use Zapier for integration.

Also, please take a look to this discussion:

Hope this will be helpful, let me know if there will be any questions regarding Contact API.

Have a great Monday ☀️

Why not just use an Intercom bot? You can trigger a bot via a button or link then have the bot send Intercom's lead capture app. We are doing this with a new app we're about to release: https://bump.userfeed.io/p>

@user334 I'm interested to know if you solved this problem. I am trying to do exactly the same thing and have tried with Zapier but the snag there is that you don't get any of the visitor info Intercom connected.

If I understand correctly, as the visitor browses the site they are recorded in Intercom as a Visitor with associated browsing history and source intelligence. What I want is a way for a form to identify this Visitor profile that already exists in Intercom and then convert it into a Lead so that I can follow up with the person. Ideally I'm after a no-code way to do this.
