Can you please upgrade your Android SDK to the latest version of 15.16.0?
Can you double check your Push notification setup?
If the issue persist after upgrade and making sure your push setup is correct, please reach out to us via Messenger in your workspace so our engineers can have a closer look.
Hello @mateusz.leszkiewicz
Thanks for providing the updated Gradle details. I've integrated them into my local build and unfortunately, the same issue with chat notifications is still occurring.
To reiterate the problem, here are the steps I'm following:
- Launch the app and navigate to a chat screen. I then type and send some words within that conversation.
- From the dashboard of another logged-in user, I reply to the same conversation. The original user (me) correctly receives the message, and the dashboard on the replying user's end shows the "seen" tag.
- I then background the app on my device without killing it.
- From the dashboard of the other user, I reply to the same conversation again. This time, I do not receive a push notification on my device, and the dashboard on the replying user's end still shows the "seen" tag.
This indicates that while the in-app messaging and seen status are updating correctly, push notifications are not being delivered when the app is in the background after an initial interaction.
Please investigate why push notifications are failing to trigger in this specific background scenario.
