If a user engaged with/completed a tour does it stop showing for them?

I want to make sure a tour stops showing when a user has completed the tour.

  1. Is this done manually everyday by tagging everyone who has completed?
  2. Would the best option be: “Send every time the person matches the rules”

Thank you in advance!

Hi @Sulamita Ivanov 👋 Eden from the support engineer team here.

In order to have a Product Tour only send once to a user, you will want to set the Scheduling and Frequency to “Send once, first time the person matches the rules”. With that frequency, the end user will receive the Tour once, regardless of if they dismissed or completed it. 👇

If you have the frequency set to “Send every time the person matches the rules”, the tour will keep triggering for the user based on that frequency regardless of if it has been completed or not. You could manually tag users that have completed the Tour and add that tag to the criteria for matching for the Tour, though that will be a bit manual. If you have access to the Series feature on your plan, you could sent up a flow within a Series that does this automatically. You can set up the entry rule block to only allow users into the Series if they do not have a specific tag, then within the Series you can have the Tour and a rule that tags users once they have completed the Tour. That would be the best method to set up this type of flow on your end. You can read more about Series here
