Targeted NPS results coming back anonymous

Relatively new to Intercom and was tasked with setting up an NPS survey for our customers. I am able to go through the steps of setting up and targeting specific customers but when a customer submits their answer they come back as an anonymous user. Anyone else experience something like this?

Can you give me more details around how you have your Survey set up? Are you targeting Users or Visitors? When you say that “they come back as an anonymous user”, where are you looking?

You can see a Survey’s stats in the Survey’s page in your Intercom workspace. Below is a screenshot from a Survey in my Test workspace. 

You can also set your Survey up so that the end user’s responses get stored as Intercom attributes in their profile.


If you want to access the details of all of your Outbound Messages you can do so via our Customer Engagement Export, which you can read about here. That same Export file can be accessed via our REST API’s data export endpoint!
