intercom-react-native and RN 0.77.0 Swift support

Hi there,

The latest version of React Native, 0.77.0, migrates the iOS AppDelegate to Swift. Currently the intercom-react-native module only seems to support set up in Objective C, will this be changing soon?

Many thanks, Lydia

Hey there Lydia! Emily here from Support Engineering at Intercom 👋🏼

I can’t find much information about this on our side which makes me believe that it’s currently not something in the pipeline.

The only information I can find at the moment is regarding removing the instructions for AppDelegate configuration in React Native Expo Installation. This is due to Expo apps, by default, do not have an AppDelegate file because Expo abstracts away much of the native iOS configuration.

However this could be a good thing to mention on our Wishlist 👈🏼 You can search and upvote existing requests or create new requests. Check out the quick guide on how the Product Wishlist works here! Hopefully adding this here might catch the attention of our React Native implementation team 💪🏼
