Use case: We need to collect a date that a product was purchased when corresponding with customers, but you do not allow a date input field on the messenger, which presents a problem in that we have to do backend validation/clearing on bad input from the textfield.

 

This might be more a feature request than anything, but this is a much needed feature and I'm not quite sure why it's not there.

Currently this isn't possible to add a date input field into a custom bot. You would be right that this is a feature request, I'm going to include this in my monthly report to the product team so that they can get their eyes 👀 on it.

 

I appreciate you sharing your use case as well. I can definitely see how this would be a useful feature to have this validation on our end to avoid having the extra checks & validation on yours.
