How to trigger a survey/form via Custom Bots

Hello folks,

I am planning to have the both launched once users click on a certain CTA. Ideally, I would want the survey/form launched as soon as they click on the CTA. Is this possible?

If not, and I have to rely on launching the bot first, can the bot subsequently launch the survey/form?

Thank you!

Hey @behram Racheal from the support engineer team here👋

You can launch a Survey from a link using the Shareable URL. It sounds like you'll just want to connect the URL to your CTA. Once you've designed your survey, there are several ways to share it with customers both in and outside of your product:

Send a shareable link

Embed in an email

Trigger via Javascript API (Web only)

Trigger via mobile API

Trigger automatically using rules

Hey @racheal sorry there is a type there, I meant a 'bot'. I am working custom bots, that I need to be triggered once someone clicks on the CTA. The click should trigger the bot and then after a single question prompt a survey on the same page.

Hey @behram 👋

For the Custom Bot it sounds like you'll want to use our Custom Bots when a customer clicks on a website element (more on that here!). Then within your Bot you would use the Shareable URL I mentioned above:
