The push notification sends successfully on Android (Firebase setup)on iOs the notification is marked Sent and Received on Intercom but literally nothing happens on the device - logging or display-wise. Where would I attempt to extract information on why it's failing?

We have 2 pre-prod environments, so we would need 2 test workspaces to match

So I have been following the document related to intercom api and was able to add a new conversation with body using the api. However, I am also trying to assign a conversation title along with some of my tags during the creation process but it does not seem to be reading those properties during creation. I tried the PUT endpoint after the conversation was created to update those fields but they do not seem to make any updates either. Please let me know what the correct way to accomplish this?! Thanks in advance.

I have 6 support agents. They all use the same email platform (Google for Business). I sent new teammate invites to all 6 of them through Intercom. Three of my agents received the email and were able to get into the system. Three did not receive the invite. I've revoked and resent the invite countless times. I've verified that in "All Mail" there are zero emails showing up from Intercom. I even have the Google authentication set up and working with Intercom and that didn't fix the issue either. It's the strangest thing. We do not have any spam filtering or other anti-malware protection in place besides the standard GSuite protections and standard Microsoft Windows security. I reached out for help from Intercom Support last week and still haven't received a response. Is this company run by bots? HA! :)

How do I get around the following issue with Mailchimp integration. The email field in Mailchimp is required and I can't change this. "This list has required merge fields. Please update the list settings in Mailchimp and try again." I am getting the following error. I am trying to correct but I just can't as my lists in mailchimp require the email. Can anyone help? You may see the following error when saving your Mailchimp settings:"This list has required merge fields. Please update the list settings in Mailchimp and try again."This means your Mailchimp list has one or more required merge fields which cannot be captured by the Mailchimp Subscribe app. To use this list, update the list settings in Mailchimp, so there are no required fields.

As far as I understand the "external_id" represent the "User id" we see in a user's or lead's profile.Is it possible to change a contact's "external_id" with a "PUT /contacts/<id>"?I tried but it doesn't seem to work. I can change other properties like "email" just fine, but "external_id" doesn't change in the contact model in the response to the call, despite the status code being "200 OK".Is there any other way to change the "user_id" of a contact otherwise?

We use the Stripe Intercom App.We use Stripe customer portal.In our flow, users first signup in our application for a free trial and if they convert, they will enter their payment info in the Stripe customer portal. In the Stripe customer portal, users have to enter a billing contact email which is often different than the login email in our application.As a result , the Stripe Intercom integration create a new user (billing user) with the billing contact email and the Stripe signup details are not sent to the actual user in our application. Is there a way to have Stripe send the signup details to the actual user email?

How's it going? 😎  According to this doc: https://developers.intercom.com/installing-intercom/docs/intercom-javascript you can start out a tour, using, for example: Intercom('startTour', 123); Also, you can open a message with a pre-populated text, like this: Intercom('showNewMessage', 'pre-populated content'); Is it possible to open a post from a JavaScript call in a similar way? Thanks! 

Hi team, I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but doesn't looks like the correct behavior to me. So, we're building the integration with Intercom utilizing the Canvas Kit. We followed the tutorial on your site but found 1 quirk when trying to duplicate a message that contains the app. The state seems to share across different messages for the same user. To illustrate the problem,I first create a new message with app inserted and target only myself (for testing).When I log in as a target user I can see the app and I can interact with the app. Which cause the canvas to changeI now duplicate that message. I could event modify the content a bit, but leave the inserted app untouched. And send the message.After I refresh my app (with the same user) I got a new message but the canvas state remained the same as the previous message. But I expect to be able to interact with the canvas.Hope you can shed some light on this. But this doesn't looks like the behavior I'm expecti

Building a custom messenger UI on top of the Intercom API. Are there developers with similar experience to share feedback? Limitations and difficulties?

I can't seem to figure out what makes Intercom NOT a CRM at this point. By boss (CEO), wants me to find us a good CRM, but honestly, I am not sure we need one so long as we have enough Intercom features. Can anyone explain to be the main differences between Intercom and a full CRM platform?

Documentation in many places is not updated and it is not aligned with the code snippets. For example, the section for Custom attributes:https://developers.intercom.com/intercom-api-reference/reference#section-request-body-parameters/p>In request body parameters, 'model' property is understood as a mandatory one. On the other hand, in CURL code snippet, it is missing, instead there is another one, not mentioned in a description, 'company'. "data_type" property in the code snippet has "options" value, which is not listed in the documentation on the left side. Also, phrase "Provide a set of hashes..." sounds odd, hash is mostly understood as non-readable representation of the input value, got from the transformation of the input value. From the context we can get a feeling that we just need to provide a set of text key/value pairs. I did not find it in the documentation, but it seems that we can not add values to our custom attributes in UI Admin?I tested it with Intercom 2.3:create a custom attribute using https://api.intercom.io/data_attributes/li>I had ui_writable property set to true in my request. I also tried to modify the attribute by sending "update request" with ui_writable = truestill in the UI I can not assign any value to the new attribute. Could you please help with that? Is it a limitation of custom attributes? Can they be edited in UI?

Hi there! I'd like to ask what kind of automated rules we could set to send Salesforce tasks automatically? The problem is that if we do it manually during the chat conversation, SF only sends a snippet of the conversation in the task. The full conversation transfer to SF only as its done automatically. So the question is what kind of solutions there is to trigger the app automatically during conversation as it's handled by the team, so that the whole conversation would transfer to SF? Any tips for this?

Hi,I'm trying to add intercom to my ionic app, I'm using the official plugin for intercom, it is working on IOS, but with android I'm getting `Could not get unknown property 'cdvCompileSdkVersion'` error message after building the app with ionic.

I'm making an API call to list conversations using the example on the right here: https://developers.intercom.com/intercom-api-reference/reference#list-conversations/p> But unlike the example response, the response I am getting doesn't contain statistics for the conversation. Am I doing something wrong?  Note that I already removed the '\' from the beginning of the example request which I think is there by mistake? The request runs correcltly, it's just missing parts of the conversation model. Thanks!

Previously we used Slack but are migrating to MS.Teams.  While on Slack we had a web-hook style integration that allowed a Slack channel to receive and send. Now on MS.Teams we are trying to find a way of replicating the functionality. Can anyone share or help with this challenge?

Hi! You can find some numbers of the certain event flow from our GA below but what these mean and how they are interpreted? Does 1st event flow mean that there are 840 times certain bot has been triggered in that specific time period? But what do mean those 640 through traffic and 100 final events? And how about 2nd event flow. Does it mean how many of those the bot has been triggered to have actually viewed the bot? And how is ”viewed” calculated? (And the same question: What is the difference between through traffic and final event) And what actually is 3rd event flow? Event Category, Action and Label are similar to 1st event flow but the numbers of course are different. Is it possible to update conversation ratings through the API? If not, is it on the roadmap?

Hi! I'm able to start tours using its corresponding URL: Ex: https://mydomain.com/page?product_tour_id=*** and using a JavaScript call too: Intercom('startTour', ***); Nevertheless, if the tour is part of a series, it seems that it doesn't work. In the JS Console I see a network call to: POST https://api-iam.intercom.io/messenger/web/tours/***/fetch but the response is 404 - Not Found. Is it possible to start out a tour programmatically if the tour is defined inside a series? Thanks!
