Hi,We successfully integrated the messages API to send emails through Intercom from our app. Now I'm wondering if there is any way to track these emails, like you can do on Intercom Web Interface messages: Thanks in advance.
Is there a way to permit xlsx or csv files to be sent from the system to the customer? I can only find settings on how to allow the customer to send different files in to me, but I need to send excel files to the customer.
Is there an app/integration to ask users for app store reviews directly on Intercom. I know there are plenty to ask for reviews through the chat, but those are not connected in any way to the app store. Thanks!
Hi All, We raised this with the partnership team and on GitHub itself but adding here for visibility. We (and others) pushed an enormous amount of fixes to this library in October last year and it still hasn't been released and as a result, the library doesn't fully support 2.0. https://github.com/intercom/intercom-php/p> Can we get some Intercom resources to finish what needs to be done and get it current again? We'd rather not have to branch it and run our own, only to have to merge back to Intercom if it's subsequently released.
Ive configured the intercom frontend to configure a company id. Separately, Ive configured a backend app integration to update some custom fields on the company. I have found that almost half of comanies do not appear in the companies list in the UI. However when I look for a user and then navigate to the company page from the user, I can see that the company exists. Could I be doing something wrong? We are using intercom EU.
We are looking to improve our internal demand projections and are trying to develop a system for cohort analysis (primarily regarding inbound support demand). Has anyone done any similar type of reporting either within Intercom or leveraging a different tool using Intercom data that they could provide insight or recommendations regarding? Thank you in advance!
Hi! We have same problem https://forum.intercom.com/s/question/0D52G00005MT2KHSA1/ios-sdk-messenger-crash. But we are using 'intercom-react-native' and iOS version is 12.5
How can I view all conversation attributes (product area and type in this case) together? I'm wanting to get an overall picture of where we see high volumes of queries and what these are. I can only seem to filter the report down by attributes, rather than build a report that shows volume by type. Any help appreciated! 😅
I'm working on an application that integrates with Intercom, and some of my users would like to connect a single Intercom workspace to multiple organizations within my app for organization purposes. This is no problem on my end for the most part, however when it comes to handling webhook responses, it starts to become ambiguous. Previously I was using the `workspace_id` that in on all canvas webhooks, but now I have multiple entities that have that workspace ID, so I can't solely use that. I've considered adding metadata to the contacts themselves, but not all webhooks have a contact associated with them. The last thing I can think of is that they have different OAuth tokens, but webhook responses don't include that so I would have no way of matching it. And as far as I can tell, there's no way I can add some custom metadata to be included in a response per installation of my app. If anyone else has run into this or has any ideas, I'd love to hear!
Hello! After we started using Intercom we got an increase in random crashes. According to Xcode logs, the app crashed randomly when sendTokenToIntercom is called.I found two similar problems:https://forum.intercom.com/s/feed/0D52G0000597Qc9SAE/p>https://forum.intercom.com/s/question/0D52G00004hzX8fSAE/ios-sdk-setdevicetoken-method-crash/p> As well, there is a workaround for IOS SDK:I can recommend a workaround; namely, switching to manually handling push notifications, as outlined in Step 4 of our guide here. @eric f11 Can this workaround be used for RN? Is there any description of how to implement it? Thanks,Stan
Question about email series - I thought that new people who entered a campaign would not receive "past emails" (ie. with specific date-based waits). But I had new entrants get all past emails at once. What do I need to do to keep that from happening?
Our issue is that we want to delete all of our customer inquiries +1 year - but doesn't seem possible? We have thousands of customer inquiries that we want to delete in our database, and want to automate this in the feature so that we only save the newest inquiries. https://developers.intercom.com/intercom-api-reference/reference#update-contact Thank you in advance for guidance and help regarding this issue.
iOS SDK 10.3.0, so far only occurred on devices with a version of iOS 12. When you open Messenger but close it before the messages finished loading, it will crash.*** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: 'Mutating a priority from required to not on an installed constraint (or vice-versa) is not supported. You passed priority 999 and the existing priority was 1000.'I couldn't reproduce on iOS 14 or iOS 15 versions, but I noticed after closing Messenger, there are some constraint conflicts [LayoutConstraints] Unable to simultaneously satisfy constraints. Probably at least one of the constraints in the following list is one you don't want. Try this: (1) look at each constraint and try to figure out which you don't expect; (2) find the code that added the unwanted constraint or constraints and fix it. ( "<NSLayoutConstraint:0x6000014ba580 UIView:0x7fa7c8e734d0.width == UIStackView:0x7fa7c8e7
Anyone know if it's possible to use a relative URL in a custom app? For example, rather than using https://forum.intercom.com/s/bookmarksI would just use /bookmarks When I try, I get an error message. Looking at the documentation, I'm not seeing an option to use relative URLs or even just add an HTML block to a custom app.
Currently we are needing to upgrade from the old react native package react-native- intercom to the new intercom supported package @intercom/intercom-react-native to support the intercom bot functionality. However, no matter what @intercom/intercom- react-native version we are using, we are having a build issue that happens intermittently. Currently we build for API 29. We were having issues with 1.0.5. So we tried upgrading to API 30. This upgrade was still having the same issue so we downgraded to 1.0.4 and kept API 29 with the same issue. Our build works perfectly without this one upgrade. Would you happen to have any insight on why this would happen. Here is the build failure log we get: See attached for full error messages Thank you for your support
As far as I understand I can only initialize the app if a teammate manually triggers it in messages for example. What I would like to achieve is an app initializing as a response to a closed conversation. In my imagination that would be possible if I could send a request to an API that initializes the app for the closed conversation after I receive a notification to a webhook connected to the app. Thus there is no chance of a teammate forgetting to initialize it, or deliberately not doing so for any reason. Is that possible, or perhaps I need to look for some other option to achieve this? Thanks
We activated the Slack integration and for some users that is working fine but others have to authenticate for some reason and then they get a message that they do not have the permission to change the app installation.
HeyI am running Intercom SDK version 9.2.0 on my project and I am not receiving push notifications for new messages when my app is killed or in background. I enabled push notification from intercom settings and added my server API key from Firebase and I have my google-services.json file in the same directory as app level. Also, I checked my app permissions in the device settings and tries to run the app on several devices.Nothing seems to work, is there something I'm missing? Thanks.
Zendesk + Intercom. Is there any good way to use Outbound message from Intercom with Zendesk chat on our website? We are looking into moving our support to Zendesk but keep Intercom for marketing purposes. What I would like to know is if its possible to have Zendesk chat on the website, but use the post and chat bubbles on our website? Basically both services.
Hi, I have been trying to create our own intercom that interfaces to our own internal api to provide user details and properties. But how do I get the information around the context/lead in the initialize request. I have been trying to follow the tutorial and understand how I display components in the Canvas Kit, but how can I understand the context/lead of the user that is access when this app is shown in the conversation window?
var Intercom = require('intercom-client'); const client = new Intercom.Client({ token: my_token});client.users.list(function (err, d) { // err is an error response object, or null // d is a successful response object, or null try{ console.log('success') }catch(err){ console.error(err) } }); I need to fetch the users data from intercom to my server. I fellow the instruction https://github.com/intercom/intercom-node.But I don't know if I connect my workspace or not. And the second snap only return d as null.
I want to send a slack notification to myself anytime a new user is identified on the site....basically, so it opens a conversation that I can proactively outreach to new customers. How would I do this? I had been told that the setTimeOut is how to do it, but not seeing any documentation on it. Thanks in advance!
Following: I want to export all email adresses that have a certain tag to an CSV / Excel file so I can feed them to my Business System to check what clients actually have done a purchase. We work with an very complex and old system in sales so I cant have automatic followups like in a normal CRM system. The tags im using are converstation tags
Hi, on my website, I'm looking to have an intercom bot pop when he recognizes a hubspot lead on my website, and address him with variables from Hubspot. Basic example: John has submitted a HS form on my website on Monday, filling first name and company name fields. On Tuesday, he's back on my website, I want the Intercom bot to pop and tell him: Hey {firstname}, how can we help {companyname} today? Any way I can do this? Thanks! PS1: I know Intercom has a Hubspot app on their store, with an option that says allow Intercom to access Hubspot cookie, but not sure it helps.
How do I find my API secret?
