Hey! In our company, there was a need to screen out a certain type of letters. Task: The client starts a conversation with our bot (for any reason), the bot starts a dialogue with him (starts a task), but the client does not write anything in response. The letter remains unclosed and such letters have to be closed manually each time (and there are many such letters). I searched and found two settings (which seemed suitable to me) 1) Setting up the bot itself- add a closing rule (see screenshot 1), if the client does not write after a certain time, then the letter is closed. 2) Setting auto-close rules (see screenshot 2)- what is its principle of operation, tell us, please. And what is the difference between them?
Hi! Ive set up a custom bot, a lot works well but I have noticed that many of our customers open many conversations, I think it is because they click the wrong button. I would like to try to add a "Go back" button that you have on intercom. This one! :D I dont understand how to do it?
My company's logo is different in each language bceause it includes text. I can only upload one logo for my help centre. Is there a workaround to display a different logo image for each language? I suspect the answer is NO and if so, can this be added as a new feature enhancement! Thx :-)
When an owner is assigned to a contact, can I trigger an outbound Custom Bot with the owner as sender?
When creating collections and articles in Intercom, the description areas have a very limited amount of characters they will take or show. They work like so:The description area at the top of an article only allows 100 characters, and shows them all.The description area at the top of a collection lets you put in as many characters as you want, but will only show about the first 80 characters. As you enter the characters there is no word wrapping.I would love to have a lot more characters be allowed to be entered and shown. Is there anyway to:Change the number of characters one can enter in the article description and have the text wrap? Up to 600 characters would be great.Change the number of characters one can enter in the collection description and have the text wrap? Up to 600 characters would be great. I'm not finding anywhere this can be changed, but I'm wondering if I'm just missing it?
If we can get information on people's operating system (stored in the OS attribute) to see if they are on mobile can we automate (using series?) and trigger a push notification or another kind of notice direct to their device? Hi Everyone! we are bootstrapping a web service for process improvement. It's called Process Stories dot com and we are trying to figure out how to inform our mobile users that there's a better experience on desktop, so to open up our web app on their laptops. Perhaps we could automate a workflow to allow them to enter their email and get sent a link for them to open on desktop at a later time? I would really appreciate any suggestions or pointers towards documentation that might already cover this! Best wishes, Nicholas SykesProcess Stories
Hi there, I'm trying to see if it's possible for me to create an event called "Scheduled Meeting" when a user schedules a call through Calendly. Is it possible for me to automate the creation of this event with the API? If not, is there a way we can create the event, and then manually update a user profile to say the event occurred? Ideally I can create an event called "Scheduled 1st Meeting with Calendly" that I can use as a Goal such that someone can exit one series and enter another. Thanks for your help, everyone!

Is there a way we can change the We'll be back online tomorrow, to say We'll be back online at 8:30?
Specifically, if we changed the hours to say, remove a Monday, would we see that accommodated in the MRT stats, etc. going forward? Or would setting it for one week, and then reverting them, negate the Office Hours/MRT calculations?
Hi I'm interested how can I find report of one specific conversation, I need to look at the responsiveness avg. handling time , first response, or response time, but this metrics show me only grouped reports and I can't find the specific conversations.
By adding message content filter: "This conversation is likely related to an existing email conversation:"
I have setup CNAME details and everything correctly for showing Knowledge Base on my custom domain. When I load the page, I see my logo in browser but page is white with text on 'Not found': Why do I see this?
I uploaded a list of 30 users who accounts were lost in an outage - have imported the list, but just can't figure out how to trigger an email send. Each rule returns a 'zero' count. Can't tell if its going to send to all, some, any... Any ideas?
Is there a way for the chatbot to be integrated with Line chat and Whatsapp? The only integration I read is that they're only integrated for live agent support.
Hey there! We have quite a lot of articles in our help center and I have been tasked with organizing them in a way that makes it easier for my team and our customers to find relevant articles. I made a Google sheet and plan to list all the articles (separated by collection) and then determine if they need a new title/subtitle to ensure they have the correct key words included. I am wondering if anyone out there has had to take on a project like this and if you have any advice or suggestions for a more efficient way. Thanks!
I'm using a Squarespace site and have the code inserted on the Code Injector section of the main site settings so the messenger appears site-wide. We have a couple of internal (password protected) pages that we're using for reporting to our clients, but want to disable the messenger on those pages only. Is this possible? I looked at installing the Google Tag Manager, but am worried that this would interfere with other tags installed on the site (it's a microsite for a larger entity). Thanks!
I've created a bunch of code blocks in my help article with carefully formatted whitespace. When I save the article the whitespace is stripped. I'm talking specifically about whitespace to the left of content. This: " some-command"Becomes:some-command I had to quote the first example because the help center does the same snipping...When I edit the article the whitespace is back! How can I keep it in place for viewers of the article?
For our business it makes sense to rate how easily the customer found their information vs how the overall conversation went. We are not directly support, but are a tool to qualify leads. We've found poor sentiment scores solely based on if a lead can quality to use our product or not. It would be more helpful if we could edit the question/rating.
Hi everyone! Is it possible to show the Chat Welcome Message only for three seconds on mobile devices and then delete (hide/close/whatever) it from the screen? We have a problem that it closes main buttons on our website as it's only landing web page which doesn't have much info on it but there are main buttons which are hidden by the Chat Welcome Message, so users cannot click on these buttons unless they close this message. I know that it's possible to close this message but the conversion for these buttons decreases dramatically which seems to be frustrating. Is there any backend solution to this issue? Or is it possible to fix it inside intercom?
Hello, I am looking for the best solution to localize my custom botsI think I'll be able to filter custom bots depending on logged in users but I can not find where to localise the bot or even if localization exists.Otherwise, I think I'll duplicate it Thanks
We have Intercom at the heart of our business and would like to speak with someone who has experience in setting up the key elements we need for our business. We need access to an Intercom expert person who can set up what we need. We are happy to pay for this service as maybe an Intercom Freelancer frog example. Hoping someone can assist usThanks Wayne
My Japanese Messenger screen has Japanese in the boilerplate, but the Send a Message button and accompanying text is in English. Is browser language detection doing that?
Currently, the output is a text field that isn't consistent, instead it varies based on the content. So I can have results of 17m 2s; 16m; 11m 52s; etc. which don't allow easy conversion to numbers/time in any way. The ideal would be for them to be in 24 hour format, so for the above examples:00:17:02; 00:16:00; 00:11:52But even if we could just get to: 17m 02s; 16m 00s; 11m 52s would be an improvement :) This is a huge hassle to fix when trying to manipulate the data and in the end I'm stuck with manually updating and fixing them by eye (I am no Excel/GSheets macro expert).
We use hello@domain.com as a catch-all address. All emails are forwarded to our Intercom inbox. However, we just noticed that one email did not get forwarded to Intercom — we've tested with multiple addresses after this with zero issues. I've reached out to support but figured it would be good to crowdsource some experience as well.
