Does anyone use a naming convention strategy to organize their Messages?

Just curious for those of you who have lots of running proactive support messages how you keep track of them all. I’m definitely underutilizing Views and should be using them better. Right now my I typically name my messages something like YYYY-MM-DD Some Description (REGION VERSION_NO).For example: “2024-10-18 Multi-display support announcement (🇺🇸 OCT24)”Is anyone else employing a similar strategy or have a better approach?

a lot of inbound emails come in to my support mailboxes with multiply people on the email and I would like us to send out the CSAT email to all people in the conversation.

Suggestions on how to handle duplicate users?

Hey everyone, We source users from 3 different apps and differentiate user_id. User IDs follow a letter sequence pattern like XVEOP. Recently we noticed that users in the different apps can have the same user_id, causing an issue with identify verification in Intercom. So we decided to implement a new user_id schema for Intercom where we prefix the user_id with the app region (e.g. us-XVEOP, au-WVMNX, etc). This achieves the result where we truly have unique user_ids in Intercom, however it’s resulted in duplicate users being created for every single user…I’m wondering if anyone has a strategy for the best way to handle deduplicating this while preserving as much of the data as possible. I did come across this community suggestion but I note it’s about 4 years old and I’m wondering if it’s still he best approach. Any ideas on where to start?

Integrating intercom/Fin and help articles with our software

Hi everyone! We are wanting to integrate intercom with our own software, where information and answers using FIN and our help articles are feed into our product using AI. We report data to our customers and want a way to pair the data presented with information from our help center (when relevant). Perhaps ambitious.. But wondering if anyone has created more indepth integrations with their software in the back end? Thanks in advance for your help!

How can I set up a birthday greeting from a birthday "event" or "attribute" we will sync from our database. Is there any way to check matching month and day (as year will obviously be past)?

How can I share product tours in checklists (as hyper link) if the product tour has a variable?

Intercom Product Tour does not load

Hi, I've been using Intercom Messenger on our Angular web app, and it seems to be working perfectly fine so far. However, we decided to also use the new Product Tour feature for new users, since we already have Intercom Messenger, but when I try using the Product Tour builder and entering the address to the prod site (with the Intercom Messenger integrated) it loads the page up but then shows an alert that says "Sorry, we can't load the tools to build Product Tours on your website. Please make sure the Intercom Messenger is installed on the URL you have chosen to build your tour".This is odd because when the page loads I can see the Intercom Messenger icon on the bottom left of the screen. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Can I create a conversation through the API and set the channel to SMS?

We’re using the Javascript API client to create a conversation programmatically when users sign up to our app.We’d like all messages of the conversation to each go through SMS. Is that possible, provided that the SMS channel is set up correctly in Intercom?I’m not seeing any way to specify a channel in the `intercom.conversations.create` method, or even in `intercom.messages.create`.Is this a dead end?Thanks!

How to add data attribute to HTML code

Hi there, Gaël frontend developer.We are using the Messenger in my company. I’d like to mask sensitive information from the Intercom Messenger when viewing replays from session captured by Datadog RUM. To perform that, I would like to add the “data-dd-policy=’mask’” in HTML on a specific div tag concerning Intercom (like the <div id=”intercom-container”>). Do you know if there is a simple way to perform that ? Thanks for your help.

Set ''Other" in multiple languages when editing a survey

We created a multiple choice survey (x3 separate languages) and want to enable the “Include 'Other' option”. However, this comes by default in English only. Can we change the language on this?As an alternative we added "Other" (translated) as fixed answer like the rest, but that doesn't let users respond with a free text. Is there better alternative?Another question, is there a way to get the responses coded with numbers? Example: 1 for first answer, 2 for second answer etc!-->

links are invisible when editing help center articles (dark mode, white links)

We use dark mode on https://help.taskade.com/ and when editing links for articles like https://help.taskade.com/en/articles/8958455-taskade-ai-usage everything is white by default. Is there any way to fix this? I have configured a product tour for my SaaS application, which I trigger on the frontend using the JS API: Intecrom('startTour', 'tourId').The product tours are shown to select users, and I want to implement custom logic for those who complete the tour—such as redirecting them to a different page or displaying specific text. Therefore, I need a way to detect when a user has finished the product tour.Is there a method to track when a user completes all steps of the product tour? For instance, can I set up a JavaScript callback like Intecrom('onProductTourCompleted', { ... some custom logic })?
