Today, teammates can reply to customer tickets and conversations from their email inbox. We’d like a workspace setting that disables teammate email replies, so teammates must reply only inside Intercom (Inbox). This helps prevent accidental customer-facing replies (for example, when someone thinks they’re adding an internal note) and ensures every response is clearly visible and auditable in one place.I’m not sure how best to do this today as haven’t been able to find the settings for this, we were able to do this super easily in Zendesk. I want to ask how people feel about the Support in that specific interaction, and how they feel about our product overall. I can’t add two CSATs with intercom because one overrides the next. Is there an App you recommend to get this feel? 

The current dark, blurry, transparent background in the main conversation area makes messages hard to read and feels distracting. Please add a setting to let us choose a solid background color for the larger chat box where the conversation happens, so we can improve readability and match our site’s design.

We are B2B so it's really challenging to set appropriate wait times without being able to do business days only. Does anyone have any rules of thumb or ways to calculate so that timing makes sense?

We have two Help Centers, one for México and one for Chile:https://ayuda.fintual.mx/es/https://ayuda.fintual.cl/es/The problem is that articles from Chile rank in Google in México and vice versa. How can we make sure the correct article ranks in the corresponding country? From what I´ve read, there is no possibility to implement hreflang tags neither inject code through Google Tag Manager. We still want them indexed in Google so we can also not restrict them to a certain audience. 

Hey, I am looking to create an internal process for one of our teams based on when a user reaches a point in an outbound messaging series and have hit a wall. In the series I have a message encouraging a customer to book a call, when they get this message, if they haven’t booked I want to trigger an internal process where a member of our team proactively calls the customer. I have added a tag to this message, however I don’t know how to assign a task to my team to do the follow-up action.  Not sure if this can be done via a workflow eg. Person Tagged “X” > Assign To “X Team” > Add Note Can anyone help? 

I am trying to integrate JIRA for Cloud with my Intercom Inbox. However, once a JIRA ticket is created, it is not getting linked to the Inbox panel. I manually added the link as well and it says in the note that the linking was successful - still do not see anything here.Am I missing anything? 

Hi everyone,I’m unable to send any WhatsApp message to one specific client. No matter what I try to send, I get the error: “Something went wrong, please try again later.”The client has been waiting for a reply since yesterday, and they also just sent another message a few minutes ago, which I still cannot respond to.I also tried starting a completely new conversation and sending an already approved template, but the same issue still happens.Has anyone experienced this or knows how to fix it urgently?

In the last few weeks, it appears Intercom’s behavior around handling copy/pasted email addresses have changed and I really don’t like it. I’m trying to quickly fill out an email template and want to replace a few PLACEHOLDERS with a plain text email address like test@example.com. But now the current behavior instead of replacing the text with email is just adding a mailto: link. So instead of “test@example.com” it becomes “PLACEHOLDER” .I don’t think there’s any universe where adding a mailto link to my intercom message would ever be desired. This is causing me about 2 extra keystrokes to deal with and in aggregate it’s quite annoying behavior and unwanted.

I wanted to flag some feedback on the recent change to the Intercom tagging system (rolled out this past weekend), as it's slowed down our tagging workflow noticeably.Previous behavior: Typing a partial tag would surface a matching suggestion, which we could select and confirm by pressing Enter. This made tagging very fast.Current behavior: Partial matches no longer trigger suggestions — the full tag has to be typed or pasted before it appears. Additionally, the Enter key no longer confirms the selection; it now requires manually ticking the checkbox with the mouse.Together, these two changes have added meaningful friction to a high-frequency action. Would it be possible to restore the partial-match autocomplete and Enter-to-confirm behavior, or is there a setting we may have missed?

Would love to see a  way to integrate the Country specific calendar for automatic holiday setup?  Right now, holidays have to be added manually, so having a built-in or sync option would make this much easier.

My company has used Intercom for years but we have not yet made use of subscription types. We have hundreds, if not thousands, of customers who have opted out of all emails so they aren’t receiving account related emails. The only real option I see is to use the subscription opt-in form but we can’t force customers fill that out. Because of that, the subscription type opt-in for account level updates isn’t reliable. What’s the best way that I can make sure customers are receiving account level updates? We do currently use in-app messaging to account for people who have unsubscribed.

How are y’all translating your articles?We just launched a Korean brand, and need our help center translated. I spent some time looking in the new “Knowledge” area, and was very disappointed in the lack of “Copy content to” options, or just duplicating all of the english content into the KR translation as a starting point. Even copy-and-pasting from the backend knowledge area was not usable and scalable for the help center. Am I missing something, or is it really this difficult to copy existing article content into a translation to be translated?

We setup a regular sync between our IC instance and an external website for industry-specific content/context. Filtered URL's to be specific to the pages we wanted, but it still resulted in nearly 25k+ pages being ingested; many of them were repeats/duplicates.Since then, we've attempted to delete/remove the source from the Knowledge center pages with no success. It appears to still be going through regular syncs of new content and never fully removes it. When asking Fin, they suggested it would require API intervention. Requesting assistance to have it fully removed.  

Hi,It seems there is a limit on the URLs i can use to embed videos with. Looks you can only use Wistia, Brightcove, YouTube and couple of others.How do i go about adding another video urls that is not on your list? Does it require a whitelisting of the company used to run our video platform or is there some custom development that can be done to bypass this limitation to the product? 

I have successfully been able to integrate Product Tour for most of the platform. However,  have a section within my platform where a workflow needs to be completed by the users.The workflow comprises of 4 steps and it’s a wizard style experience. all the 4 steps have the same URL and just the content on the page changes upon completing a step but the URL remains same.Issue: The pointers which are meant to appear on the step 2 of the workflow appears on the Step 1 itself. The CSS elements are not visible on the Step 1 but still the pointers appear.I have tried attributing the HTML with intercom <div> as well, the buttons are even highlighted in Pink within the tour editor after the attribution. It means the attribution worked, Despite this, the pointers appear on Step 1 instead of Step 2.  

May I know how to configure the URL for Reply in our Messenger button? Currently it is not working for me when merchants click on that button.

It’s the second time I encounter the same pain-point at a company: keeping our help center’s articles accurate as our release cadence accelerates. Our doc is becaming outdated. We create new articles for new features, but we’re always lacking the resources to update existing content impacted by those changes. That’s problematic because our product is available on iOS, Android, and the web, with small but important differences across platforms. To make things even worse, we are based in the EU and support three languages. The discrepancies between these languages became substantial, leading to increased support tickets…

We are looking to setup that certain users are only allowed to edit internal help articles but not general public help articles. Currently you can only set permissions for all article editing, not just certain articles or collections. This would allow our support team to update the internal articles they use for supporting end users via Intercom without disrupting the end user help articles carefully crafted by our Marketing Team
