Hey there! We have quite a lot of articles in our help center and I have been tasked with organizing them in a way that makes it easier for my team and our customers to find relevant articles. I made a Google sheet and plan to list all the articles (separated by collection) and then determine if they need a new title/subtitle to ensure they have the correct key words included. I am wondering if anyone out there has had to take on a project like this and if you have any advice or suggestions for a more efficient way. Thanks!

I'm using a Squarespace site and have the code inserted on the Code Injector section of the main site settings so the messenger appears site-wide.  We have a couple of internal (password protected) pages that we're using for reporting to our clients, but want to disable the messenger on those pages only. Is this possible?  I looked at installing the Google Tag Manager, but am worried that this would interfere with other tags installed on the site (it's a microsite for a larger entity).  Thanks!

I've created a bunch of code blocks in my help article with carefully formatted whitespace. When I save the article the whitespace is stripped. I'm talking specifically about whitespace to the left of content. This: " some-command"Becomes:some-command I had to quote the first example because the help center does the same snipping...When I edit the article the whitespace is back! How can I keep it in place for viewers of the article?

For our business it makes sense to rate how easily the customer found their information vs how the overall conversation went. We are not directly support, but are a tool to qualify leads. We've found poor sentiment scores solely based on if a lead can quality to use our product or not. It would be more helpful if we could edit the question/rating.

Hi everyone! Is it possible to show the Chat Welcome Message only for three seconds on mobile devices and then delete (hide/close/whatever) it from the screen? We have a problem that it closes main buttons on our website as it's only landing web page which doesn't have much info on it but there are main buttons which are hidden by the Chat Welcome Message, so users cannot click on these buttons unless they close this message. I know that it's possible to close this message but the conversion for these buttons decreases dramatically which seems to be frustrating. Is there any backend solution to this issue? Or is it possible to fix it inside intercom?

My Japanese Messenger screen has Japanese in the boilerplate, but the Send a Message button and accompanying text is in English. Is browser language detection doing that?

Currently, the output is a text field that isn't consistent, instead it varies based on the content. So I can have results of 17m 2s; 16m; 11m 52s; etc. which don't allow easy conversion to numbers/time in any way.  The ideal would be for them to be in 24 hour format, so for the above examples:00:17:02; 00:16:00; 00:11:52But even if we could just get to: 17m 02s; 16m 00s; 11m 52s would be an improvement :)  This is a huge hassle to fix when trying to manipulate the data and in the end I'm stuck with manually updating and fixing them by eye (I am no Excel/GSheets macro expert).

We use hello@domain.com as a catch-all address. All emails are forwarded to our Intercom inbox. However, we just noticed that one email did not get forwarded to Intercom — we've tested with multiple addresses after this with zero issues. I've reached out to support but figured it would be good to crowdsource some experience as well.

Hi there! 👋 ​Is anyone using Help Center in Zendesk and Intercom to communicate with customers? I would like to know what the app looks like in the messenger if your articles are in the Zendesk. If I have understood correctly, it would be possible to insert an app in messenger that lets your customers browse articles within a messenger. But does it look like the same as Intercom´s own Article app? If someone knows an example of that kind of solution, would much appreciate 🙏

This was verified by a customer rep via the Intercom app last Friday as a bug.  This is the last requirement for us to move forward with our app review, and we've been blocked for a week. When making a Custom Bot from new conversations, if I use “Add bot message” and the user types nothing, according to our setup, “Auto-close abandoned Custom Bot conversations” is set to 3 minutes, the conversation in my inbox disappears. (Wanted) If I use the “Resolution Bot and follow up actions” and the user types nothing, the conversation stays in my inbox and never disappears. (Not Wanted)I would like to utilise Resolution Bot more, to help answer some questions, if they ask them.I have tried displaying half the page using Add Bot, and half using Resolution bot, still does not remove from inbox if user abandons the screen.

We are trying to send an email to any new users that sign up for our product. However, when we use the filter for "Signed Up Less Than 1 Day Ago", we get a list of users who had signed up a long time ago. Can someone explain how this particular attribute works?

Hi 👋 We're using the Intercom REST API 1.3 to track leads and their conversion to users. This integration has been in place for a few years. This week I've been extending this integration to add access to the articles, which was only introduced in API v2.1. My problem is that when I tried v2.1, I found that this API version doesn't have a way of converting leads to users. Is that at all possible with v2.1 or above? Ideally I'd like to keep our integration on 1 version if possible, likely the latest version, assuming API versions will eventually be dropped

Do you use an Avatar to post comms to customers via Intercom as a first point of contact? We want to get different conversation stats when we receive a onAdminAssigned web hook. Since the statistics object is empty in the web hook payload itself, we have to make a REST request to api/conversations/{id} to get a full conversation payload.  We noticed that if we make this call immediately after getting a web hook, the statistics object will still be filled with zeroes. But if we wait for a couple of seconds before making that call, then we can get all the data we need. Could you pls provide an estimation of the delay (average and upper boundary) between a web hook being sent and the data being accessible via RES API? Is it possible to send conversation statistics in the web hook itself?

I must be missing something, but can you NOT search your Inbox by Conversation ID? Surely this functionality exists...

Hey all, I've just got our domain verified on Intercom and set up email forwarding from our support@, hello@ and billing@ email IDs. The emails are landing in the Inbox exactly as they're supposed to; however, I'm unable to figure out a way to reply to an incoming email with the same email ID i.e. if I get an email on support@, how do I reply using support@ — these emails are verified on the dashboard? Best,Sourabh

Hi everyone! I have been trying to figure out a way to design a custom bot based on keywords. Does anyone have advice on this from a customer support perspective not a "Create leads" perspective?? Any suggestions are really appreciated! For example, I'd like the bot to respond to when a customer asks for support, instead of instructing the bot to pop up after the user has been on site for an amount of time.
