We have a product that is developed in English and localized for Japanese. We want to link directly to articles. Looking for best practices for managing those links. Should we just treat them like strings to be localized?

Hi! You can find some numbers of the certain event flow from our GA below but what these mean and how they are interpreted? Does 1st event flow mean that there are 840 times certain bot has been triggered in that specific time period? But what do mean those 640 through traffic and 100 final events? And how about 2nd event flow. Does it mean how many of those the bot has been triggered to have actually viewed the bot? And how is ”viewed” calculated? (And the same question: What is the difference between through traffic and final event) And what actually is 3rd event flow? Event Category, Action and Label are similar to 1st event flow but the numbers of course are different. I planned to create many series, and it would contain the same message (the same box). I wonder if Intercom will detect it and won't send the message repeatedly.  So, my question is "Will my customers be received the same message?" Let me know if the question isn't clear, I'm more than happy to clarify further. Is it possible to update conversation ratings through the API? If not, is it on the roadmap?

I want to set up an automatic outbound message that shows up for a user who comes back after not using the app for more than a week. How do I do that with the Rules? Ideally I'd also be able to have a few different versions of this message and the first time it happens the user would get one message, the second time they'd get a different one, etc.

Hi! I'm able to start tours using its corresponding URL: Ex: https://mydomain.com/page?product_tour_id=*** and using a JavaScript call too: Intercom('startTour', ***); Nevertheless, if the tour is part of a series, it seems that it doesn't work. In the JS Console I see a network call to: POST https://api-iam.intercom.io/messenger/web/tours/***/fetch but the response is 404 - Not Found. Is it possible to start out a tour programmatically if the tour is defined inside a series? Thanks!

Hey guys, I have a task that would require some brainstorming and finding a creative solution with some outside-of-the-box-thinking.  The challenge is as follows: We want to offer chat support as a premium service. We already set up a complex solution that allows visitors to chat up to 5 times without purchasing a product (the system of custom bots and tags).  Now, since the chat is originally available only on the /chat/ URL (Launcher visible only there), and the agent might give a link to a proposed product, the user will go away from the /chat/ page and on desktop, it would be ok as the conversation continues, Widget is open in the bottom-right corner. And the user will probably not close it. On the mobile, it's a bit different, Widget fills in the whole screen and the user might close it in order to see the page. Once they close it they can not continue it, as the Launcher is not visible. They would need to go back to the /chat/ page... not a good user experience.  So, the big

I'm currently building my sire at vela-apparel-shop.myshopify.com and I'm wondering why my chat bubble pops up for only a split second before disappearing. Also, when I try to complete set up on the Intercom site, it give me the error 'We havenʼt received any data from your installation. Please check the instructions and try again.' I've checked the connection many times now and no luck. Any help? 

I have some automated messages set up (think Welcome Message), but I'd prefer if the pop up expired after a certain amount of time instead of requiring the user to click to dismiss. Is this possible?

Hi, I'm looking to integrate Discord with Intercom. We added the intercom Facebook app/integration and noticed it restricted the inbox message input to text/emoticon options (see attached image).We'd like to restrict the message input for our discord app/integration as well, however, we cannot find any references to the message input in the API/canvas kit. How do you derive the active now status for a user? This is shown via a "green dot" next to their icon in the contacts list. I would like this info when using the API.

Hi,I am trying to use an event from my app to update user or company data on their profile.For example I want to fire the event "add apple" and this would update the "apple count" on the user or company profile.I know how to send an event using Intercom('trackEvent', 'event name'); and I know how that I can update user data using Intercom('update', userdata); but I would like to use the event itself to update the data.Is this somehow possible ?

Is there a reason intercom chose to make this look like a 404 page rather than a "please log into (product) to view this article"? I can't tell you how many times that customers says "there is nothing at this link" and we have to explain well first you need to log into the app then the article can be viewed. The wording on this page could be vastly improved.

Hi there everyone, At the moment, under the hood, the Intercom messenger is sending requests with an anonymous_id field when it is tracking Leads on our website. Is there a way of updating this anonymous_id property ? At the moment when an event is tracked it makes an API call to POST https://api-iam.intercom.io/messenger/web/eventsand I can see part of the request payload:I believe this anonymous_id also corresponds to one of the Intercom tracking cookies: intercom-id-<APP_ID> and also the visitorId ? I'm trying to update the value of this anonymous_id but not sure how to accomplish this. Do I need to overwrite the value of the Intercom cookie in order to achieve this ? Since there are only 2 endpoints = initialize and submit, how do I create multiple canvases for my app? My app has 2 forms, filling the first leads to second, and filling that displays a message. Since thats 3 canvases in all, I'm wondering how it's done.
