Hi, I'm looking to integrate Discord with Intercom. We added the intercom Facebook app/integration and noticed it restricted the inbox message input to text/emoticon options (see attached image).We'd like to restrict the message input for our discord app/integration as well, however, we cannot find any references to the message input in the API/canvas kit. How do you derive the active now status for a user? This is shown via a "green dot" next to their icon in the contacts list. I would like this info when using the API.

Hi,I am trying to use an event from my app to update user or company data on their profile.For example I want to fire the event "add apple" and this would update the "apple count" on the user or company profile.I know how to send an event using Intercom('trackEvent', 'event name'); and I know how that I can update user data using Intercom('update', userdata); but I would like to use the event itself to update the data.Is this somehow possible ?

Is there a reason intercom chose to make this look like a 404 page rather than a "please log into (product) to view this article"? I can't tell you how many times that customers says "there is nothing at this link" and we have to explain well first you need to log into the app then the article can be viewed. The wording on this page could be vastly improved.

Hi there everyone, At the moment, under the hood, the Intercom messenger is sending requests with an anonymous_id field when it is tracking Leads on our website. Is there a way of updating this anonymous_id property ? At the moment when an event is tracked it makes an API call to POST https://api-iam.intercom.io/messenger/web/eventsand I can see part of the request payload:I believe this anonymous_id also corresponds to one of the Intercom tracking cookies: intercom-id-<APP_ID> and also the visitorId ? I'm trying to update the value of this anonymous_id but not sure how to accomplish this. Do I need to overwrite the value of the Intercom cookie in order to achieve this ? Some help would be much appreciated. Cheers

Since there are only 2 endpoints = initialize and submit, how do I create multiple canvases for my app? My app has 2 forms, filling the first leads to second, and filling that displays a message. Since thats 3 canvases in all, I'm wondering how it's done.

Just some clarifications, how do I sort out customers who are FREE & PAYING? Since we have 2 types of customers who are asking about our company. It also differs from our level of support to them. How do I manage inbox wherein FREE customers those who haven’t availed of any plan goes to our FREE inbox and PAYING customers goes straight to our “PAID CUSTOMERS” inbox? And if we want other folders under PAID AND FREE how do we go about this. 

Hey there, hate to turn to the forums for this kind of request but my messages through the intercom widget have gone unread for 2 days. Our team submitted an app 15 days ago and haven't yet received a review. It was a very thorough submission, so I'd be surprised if there was something we left out that made it hard to review. We're hoping to launch our product soon, and Intercom integration is a huge selling point to our pilot customers. Is there someone I can get in touch with about getting it looked at? Hopefully you can look up my app review submission from my account here, but if you need more information to find it please let me know.

In Zendesk each macro had a unique URL, Is there any way to access something like this in intercom? This would be helpful to have for our external documentation of our macros, so we can link directly to the macro we want to. In the editing macros section, even when you have a macro open for editing, the URL simply takes you to the general macros 'basket'.

Is Intercom HIPAA compliant?

We are a HIPAA compliant company and so do not want to use the JS provided by intercom due to the security risk. Does anyone know of a way to implement the service without using JS that calls every time?
