Is it possible to export customer data and conversation data from Zendesk to Intercom?

We have Zendesk & Intercom working side by side and at this point, we are creating tickets from Intercom to Zendesk about specific conversations. Now I am thinking if it would be possible to use only Intercom but before I go any deeper I would like to know how I could have all the customer data from Zendesk to Intercom? In Zendesk we have a wide history of customer tickets and data and of course, I wouldn´t want that to disappear. We have tickets in Zendesk that are not in Intercom at all. So is this kind of integration possible and how? Tanks in advance! 🙏

Is it possible to send a loader page for the canvas app?

We have two calls for inbox canvas app, initialize and submit. the calls require you to respond within 3 sec or else it throw an error page (as it take too long to respond). Is it possible to send a loading page and response once the response is ready. Or is there a way to overcome this issue which requires to respond within 3 sec?

Does the Content Showcase app support URL variables?

Are there plans for the "Content Showcase" app built by Intercom to support custom attributes? Right now we can only use a static URL. The challenge we have is each customer has a unique URL, so it would be great if we could pipe in custom attributes e.g. Company ID.

When calling the intercom API without user details, the messages are still sending the to the latest user

Hello, I'm working on a react web app, and if the user is logged in, the app is calling the function with the user's data:  window.Intercom('update', {        app_id: AP_ID,        name:... email..}) and when there is no logged in user Im caling the Intercom just with th app_id:  window.Intercom('update', {        app_id: AP_ID}) but, still, the messages are sent as the logged-in user, What can I do about it? thanks,Gy

Can I pass custom attributes for leads through the Intercom/Hubspot integration?

How do I set up the Intercom <> Hubspot integration so that the lead from the intercom is imported into the Hubspot already with an identification of which landing page he first contacted? I have 3 different landing pages where the intercom chat is active. Through the intercom I can already know where the lead came in contact with the tag "Referral url" in the individual report of each lead and through the field "Top pages for new inbound conversations" in reports. How do I get this information to appear on the Hubspot automatically?

How can I programatically retrieve all parts of a conversation?

The conversation end Webhook only returns the very last message in a conversation in the conversation parts object.  Should it show all parts of a conversation or am I supposed use a separate API call to retrieve all parts of a conversation?

Has anyone successfully integrated Intercom with Looker?

We have pushed the data from Intercom into Stitch and into Looker. We are running into issues connecting the data together in Looker.   did reach out to Intercom and they do not have a Data Model they can share. We need to match the primary keys in Looker. Wondering if anyone has done this.

Is there any way I can have 2 intercom workspaces linked to the same salesforce workspace?

Hi everyone, we have 2 workspaces in intercom. A Salesforce app is connected to one of our workspace and I like to know if I can connect another workspace to the same Salesforce org.Is there any way I can have the second intercom workspace linked to the same salesforce environment? I could really use the help! What if users can't see Messenger App Sheet because of iframe blockers?

We made an Intercom App relying on CanvasKit and the Sheets within the Messenger.However Messenger Sheets display from within an iframe, and some users can't access it because they have iframe blockers… Sometimes it's even worse as their blocker prevents the iframe to open in the messenger but opens it into a new tab, and obviously it does not work as expected if rendered from outside the Sheet into the Messenger… So, even if that's not something we can fix, I wanted to know if you had some advices and experience about it? The idea is to make a clean UX whatever the issue is…

Is it possible to bypass the admin ID when adding conversation notes through the API?

Hi team, We're building an app that will add notes in conversations. Looking through the Intercom API, it seems like we must associate a note with an admin in the Intercom account.  Is it possible for the note to come "from" our app instead? For example, like Slack bots with their own name and logo. Or, we use the Intercom/Github app and notes are posted from "Operator".

What's the best way to handle changing permissions for an existing app?

Hi team, We currently have an app that has about 50 installs. We're making some enhancements to the app and need to increase the number of required permissions.  What is the best way to go about this process? If we add more permissions, do the users who currently have the app installed need to reauthenticate? Thanks!Cory

The push notification sends successfully on Android (Firebase setup)on iOs the notification is marked Sent and Received on Intercom but literally nothing happens on the device - logging or display-wise. Where would I attempt to extract information on why it's failing?

How can I use the Mailchimp integration without capturing email addresses?

How do I get around the following issue with Mailchimp integration. The email field in Mailchimp is required and I can't change this. "This list has required merge fields. Please update the list settings in Mailchimp and try again." I am getting the following error. I am trying to correct but I just can't as my lists in mailchimp require the email. Can anyone help? You may see the following error when saving your Mailchimp settings:"This list has required merge fields. Please update the list settings in Mailchimp and try again."This means your Mailchimp list has one or more required merge fields which cannot be captured by the Mailchimp Subscribe app. To use this list, update the list settings in Mailchimp, so there are no required fields.

Send Stripe data to our user instead of the billing email contact

We use the Stripe Intercom App.We use Stripe customer portal.In our flow, users first signup in our application for a free trial and if they convert, they will enter their payment info in the Stripe customer portal. In the Stripe customer portal, users have to enter a billing contact email which is often different than the login email in our application.As a result , the Stripe Intercom integration create a new user (billing user) with the billing contact email and the Stripe signup details are not sent to the actual user in our application. Is there a way to have Stripe send the signup details to the actual user email?

How can we duplicate messages and still have the inserted app at the initial state?

Hi team, I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but doesn't looks like the correct behavior to me. So, we're building the integration with Intercom utilizing the Canvas Kit. We followed the tutorial on your site but found 1 quirk when trying to duplicate a message that contains the app. The state seems to share across different messages for the same user. To illustrate the problem,I first create a new message with app inserted and target only myself (for testing).When I log in as a target user I can see the app and I can interact with the app. Which cause the canvas to changeI now duplicate that message. I could event modify the content a bit, but leave the inserted app untouched. And send the message.After I refresh my app (with the same user) I got a new message but the canvas state remained the same as the previous message. But I expect to be able to interact with the canvas.Hope you can shed some light on this. But this doesn't looks like the behavior I'm expecti

Can I create Salesforce tasks from Intercom conversations automatically?

Hi there! I'd like to ask what kind of automated rules we could set to send Salesforce tasks automatically? The problem is that if we do it manually during the chat conversation, SF only sends a snippet of the conversation in the task. The full conversation transfer to SF only as its done automatically. So the question is what kind of solutions there is to trigger the app automatically during conversation as it's handled by the team, so that the whole conversation would transfer to SF? Any tips for this?

Previously we used Slack but are migrating to MS.Teams.  While on Slack we had a web-hook style integration that allowed a Slack channel to receive and send. Now on MS.Teams we are trying to find a way of replicating the functionality. Can anyone share or help with this challenge?

How to interpret Google Analytics events flow with Intercom events?

Hi! You can find some numbers of the certain event flow from our GA below but what these mean and how they are interpreted? Does 1st event flow mean that there are 840 times certain bot has been triggered in that specific time period? But what do mean those 640 through traffic and 100 final events? And how about 2nd event flow. Does it mean how many of those the bot has been triggered to have actually viewed the bot? And how is ”viewed” calculated? (And the same question: What is the difference between through traffic and final event) And what actually is 3rd event flow? Event Category, Action and Label are similar to 1st event flow but the numbers of course are different. How can this 3rd event flow be interpreted? 1st Event flow:Event Category: Intercom MessengerEvent Action: Triggered MessageEvent Label: Custom Bot ID ´145133´840 Actions(740 through traffic and 100 final event) 2nd Event flow:Event Category: Intercom MessengerEvent Action: Viewed MessageEvent Label: Custom Bot ID ´
