Reply Button detection in webhook

Hi there,I’ve created a webhook handling conversation.user.created and conversation.user.replied events. I’m using automation where the first step in the communication is the list of buttons, but also customer can send the message (instead of clicking one of buttons). Basically, I need to recognise in the webhook request, that the button was clicked OR the text was written by the customer. After a close inspection of the request data, both cases are identical. Interesting fact is that, as I’m using “Unstable” version of API, when the buttons are used deeper in the workflow, webhook request contains value in conversation_parts?.conversation_parts[0].metadata?.quick_reply_option_uuid when button is used, so I’m able to detect the click action. But for the first appearance of buttons in the workflow (on the first step) - metadata is not even present. Thanks and regards,Milan

Can I use a Canvas Kit Sheet Action within a Configure flow?

Hi, Currently building an integration that allows courses to be embedded into Intercom. All this is working fine however when selecting a course, given there can be many, I thought it would be best to kick the user out to a sheet with a custom UI.Does a `sheet` action actually work within a canvas from a Configure flow response though? I can see the components rendering out properly but when I interact with them they don’t seem to trigger anything, not even any network activity.

loginUser fails with "400 user already exists"

Hello, It seems we cannot reliably use Intercom on iOS due to an API error. We are trying to identify a customer with a uuid, email, and identity hash (derived from the uuid). Our integration was working until we upgraded to the 14 SDK. Now everytime we call either loginUser or updateUser we receive a “400 user already exists” error message. This happens for some users and not others, but is resulting in production customers not being identified.

Resetting Reference Attribute on a conversation

We are observing that within one bot flow, when we set an attribute value on a reference attribute there is way to reset it. If we continue on the same flow, and bring the customer back to first option, it keeps on appending the values selected by the customers. Anyone have any luck resetting the attributes within same conversation ?

WhatsApp integration, if already using the API

We’re looking forward to implementing WhatsApp for Intercom, considering the documentation on integrating the WhatsApp App with Intercom we have some concerns, we hope people who have already done this integration may be able to answer.We’re currently using the WhatsApp API for custom marketing messaging and authentication, it simple, it only redirect the user to our App, however we would like a way to see if the user reply, and if so, for our customer service team to continue the conversation, note that there’s no third party manager of the account, we call the API ourselves, the WABA is hosted on Meta directly, we hope that can be achieved through this integration, so in concrete these are our concerns:If we integrate WhatsApp, we’ll lose access to manually call the WhatsApp API for authentication OTP and marketing messages? Can the API still create new conversations with new users? Can the integration at Intercom see those message, so the Customer Support team see the entire convers

background-blend-mode is not working.

Hi team, recently I found that background-blend-mode is not working when creating email template.it seems acceptable styling when itself creating, but, after saving the template, background-blend-mode section is automatically removed. I tried !important but it also not working. Anyone please clearly answer how I can use background-blend-mode?

Target multiple Intercom Instances on the same app

Hello, is it possible today to target multiple Intercom instances under the same application? We currently are forced to have two different instances to handle different types of users, but they all use the same app. Is there any way to decide which Intercom app is targeted for each user?In a more technical note we use React and React Native apps.

Intercom and Salesforce Field Sync

Does anyone know what is needed on the Salesforce side of the house to ensure the fields are synced to Intercom? I have a new Case Field in Salesforce that I want to map a field in Intercom to, but when I go to the Salesforce integration Settings, the field is not available in the list of fields. Is there something I need to do on the Salesforce side of the operation to ensure it’s visible for Intercom to read?

Hi All,We’re currently setting up Intercom to replace Zendesk and are integrating it with Slack. We would like replies to threads in Intercom to appear as messages within a Slack thread. Android sdk requires android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO in the new version

permission: android.permission.RECORD_AUDIOI am wondering why the permission for audio recording is required in the new version. Also this new information is not stated in the documentation. I am planing to force the permission remove from the manifest file, but before that want to know if there is any consequence of doing that.Thanks!

Appending text to an existing attribute

Is there a way to update a field in Intercom, in this example via zapier, and append text to the field rather than overwriting the text?I haven’t seen anything in the community or documentation about this so if I have missed it sorry about that!Cheers,Alex

Is it possible to use Intercom's Hubspot app and Hubspot's app integration with Intercom in tandem?

My company recently switched over to Intercom and we made the decision to utilize the Data Sync by Hubspot app so we could pipe user / company data back and forth between Intercom and Hubspot. However, what I failed to realize is that we aren’t able to sync conversations and tickets in Intercom into Hubspot activities. I see that this is possible with Intercom’s Hubspot app integration. I’m wondering if it’s possible to utilize both apps in tandem, however, my main hesitation is that I see the potential to have user data duplicated. Or if a user already exists in Hubspot, do the conversations auto-sync to that contact? Any guidance on this is much appreciated.

New Intercom Companies not syncing with Salesforce Accounts

Currently experiencing a sync issue where new Intercom companies are not syncing with their Salesforce Accounts. Existing companies are not affected and are syncing fine; also no Sync Errors in the Salesforce app integration. Has anyone else experienced this before?

Why Slack Channels are not appearing in the configuration

Hi, I have problem setting up the Slack integration within the Intercom.The slack channel is not showing up in the dropdown under "Notify a public channel" in the configuration modal.The Intercom app is added to the channel.I tried all steps followed by the guidelines instructions but it still not showing up. Also, when testing with the “private” channels the messages are not being shared to slack.

Trigger a workflow for a specific conversation using API

Hello, I am trying to display reply button on conversation when an external event occurs.I am not able to find a workaround or adopt an existing trigger that will be able to target a specific conversation (multiple conversation can be opened with the same user at the same time)my business cases is to trigger a workflow when an API call triggered. The closest solution ‘How to open workflow whit api service utilizes events that are not conversation specific.Is there an alternative?

Install Messenger in Salesforce Experience Cloud

Im trying to install the Messenger app in Salesforce Community.
