I’m fetching articles from Intercom using the API. In the case where multiple help centers are present, how do I fetch the articles from only a specific help center and not all articles? Alternatively, I am also open to fetching all articles but filtering them on the basis of help center. How can I do this using the API?

My YTD CSAT Survey Response Rate dropped from 35% in Q1 to 30% in July and currently trending at 25% for August. Despite the freefalling response rate, my CSAT ranges between 93-95% but I’m still worried about the decreasing response rate. My divedeeps didn’t reveal anything actionable, I’m reaching out to this community to gain some best practices to help improve my response rate. 

This was reported 4 years ago in another post here:and supposed to have been fixed in Intercom’s iOS SDK 17.0.4:but unfortunately we’re seeing it again. This started happening after we turned on push notification integration for our app, and seems related to calling Intercom.setDeviceToken when iOS gives us an APNS token.In case it’s relevant, we have IntercomAutoIntegratePushNotifications turned off because it caused problems with Firebase Cloud Messaging’s similiar swizzling. 

Hi, Does someone received such errors recently? Where this error should be fixed: on intercom or our side? 

I’m trying to create a Zapier integration that syncs Intercom conversations to ClickUp tasks. We have the Intercom ClickUp integration set up such that we can link conversations to tasks just fine. The problem is that the Intercom API does not expose the ClickUp task ID or any other identifiers that could allow Zapier to see that Interom → ClickUp link.Is there a workaround for this, and if not, is it possible for the API to be extended to provide access to the third-party integration’s conversation attributes?

Have been following the recommended approaches for authentication in the data conenction - once running via the messenger I can never get a real user auth passed through - it always sends my test token? Has anyone setup intercom message with a custom jwt to a custom MCP server?

Hi, We have been using Intercom without any issue. But recently we have started getting following error after the user has logged into our platform. Access to XMLHttpRequest at ‘https://api-iam.intercom.io/messenger/web/embedded/content’ from origin ‘https://portal.product.com’ has been blocked by CORS policy: No ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header is present on the requested resource. When the page is refreshed, the error disappears and status code changes to 200 OK but the user data is not updated in Intercom.What’s the possible solution to this issue?

Hi, We are experiencing duplicates creation on intercom for the same userIds and emails, the example is below:I think that the problem is on SDK side or/and API calls to Intercom.For example, to update existing user we do a post request to search by email intercom id and update that contact, but it looks like sometimes (event if a user exists on Intercom ) by some reason we are not always getting intercom id back and then the script creates "a new contact"  (or it is something within SDK). The issue is that it is not a new contact and it should not work like that. Eventually these duplicated users go to "onboarding" series, but they are old and should not get any onboarding emails..What could be the issue and solve it? Maybe it is about API/SDK update?... Best,Anastasia

I’ve tried everything in the doc and through other posts, but  just can’t seem to make this work. The message just doesn’t display at the bottom of the page.

Friends! What capability does Fin have in terms of creating a response hierarchy based on seasonality? For example: we service Accountants - during tax season we want Fin to default to a specific answer based on snippets we’ve created for that inquiries during tax season, and in the “off-season” we want the response to be more general.  Has anybody solved for this or done some work around to provide Fin this training? 

When we send a conversation response to someone other than the original user listed on the conversation, it will change the linked user to the conversation. Example, we are in a conversation with a user and need to confirm something with the client relative to this conversation but we do not want the original user included in our query to the client. It will auto-link the users instead of allowing us to easily change who we are sending to. Additionally, we won’t want the user to see the conversation details to the client but it appears to show all. We don’t want to use linked tickets because we need to have the client see the conversation thread in order to provide the necessary guidance relative to our query.

My Flutter application has reported a crash in the Google Play Console. How are y’all translating your articles?We just launched a Korean brand, and need our help center translated. I spent some time looking in the new “Knowledge” area, and was very disappointed in the lack of “Copy content to” options, or just duplicating all of the english content into the KR translation as a starting point. Even copy-and-pasting from the backend knowledge area was not usable and scalable for the help center. Am I missing something, or is it really this difficult to copy existing article content into a translation to be translated?

We have an issue that affects users ability to read their own messages in Intercom (SDK 18.8.1) on iOS. I was told by Intercom support that this is expected behaviour due to a product limitation and that I had to submit my request/idea here instead of contacting support.So here it is. Our customers are contacting us about low contrast text (dark gray on black background) in the latest SDK version on iOS, making it almost impossible to read their own messages.Idea: look into a fix for this so that we don’t have to tell our users to turn off darkmode on their devices.Thanks!Example: (text in the black bubble says “test test” but almost impossible to read) 

Hi there I am hoping to create some dashboards based off of our product’s intercom data that surfaces insights about # of tickets created and average conversation rating.  High level mockup of the dashboard: Diving into the intercom API, it looks like the only way to get aggregate data is by calling the search APIs and checking the total_count property.  This is un-ideal in the case of average satisfaction score where I would need to query 5 times for each satisfaction score value per data bucket.  If I have a time series with 12 month buckets, that would mean I would have to query Intercom 70 times per dashboard render.  Is there a better alternative to accomplish this?  I saw reference of a reporting feature coming to the API at some point: Also, what is intercom’s data retention policy?  Can I expect to be able to retrieve all of our intercom data or is there a cut-off?

This has been asked before but I truly hope it’s been addressed by the Intercom team as this is a reason to switch providers if not! Can you schedule replies in the Helpdesk to send at a later time?

Hey there, i’m curious - intercom does detect quoted parts of mails correctly. It always shows the vertical line(s) on the left to mark the quoted parts of a mail.  However, for some mails, its not possible to collapse the quoted parts. They are shown always. That means I will have to scroll about 2-5 viewports up to see what customer has written. If its a discussion with many mails, the total height gets sometimes 20 or more heights of my browser window. I’m sure thats a bug and intercom should be easily able to hide/collapse those parts like it does sometimes and indicated by the three dots at the bottom. Please fix!
