Android push notification not working

HeyI am running Intercom SDK version 9.2.0 on my project and I am not receiving push notifications for new messages when my app is killed or in background. I enabled push notification from intercom settings and added my server API key from Firebase and I have my google-services.json file in the same directory as app level.Also, I checked my app permissions in the device settings and tries to run the app on several devices.Nothing seems to work, is there something I'm missing?Thanks.

React Native Android crash

Hello, I have installed Intercom for React Native. iOS works fine but Android crashes every time. Getting this error: FATAL EXCEPTION: OkHttp Dispatcher java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: No virtual method toString(Z)Ljava/lang/String; in class Lokhttp3/Cookie; or its super classes (declaration of 'okhttp3.Cookie' appears in /data/app/~~.....==/com.......Using RN .63Android minSdk 21com.android.tools.build:gradle 4.1.0

iOS SDK v10.2.0 – Failed to build module 'Intercom' from its module interface

I just went to update my Intercom iOS SDK and for version 10.2.0 and above I am experiencing the following build error: Failed to build module 'Intercom' from its module interface; the compiler that produced it, 'Apple Swift version 5.5 (swiftlang-1300.0.31.1 clang-1300.0.29.1)', may have used features that aren't supported by this compiler, 'Apple Swift version 5.4 (swiftlang-1205.0.26.9 clang-1205.0.19.55)' I suspect something has gone wrong in the 'Added support for iOS 15' release which means it's no longer backwards compatible. If this is intentional then there are no warnings about this in the release notes, and no migration guide on the Intercom docs. Has version 10.2.0 and above been compiled on Xcode 13 without checking that it's backwards compatible with Xcode 12.5? I can see the import _Concurrency in the build error coming from Intercom, and MainActor has been used in a few places, which has probably broken backwards compatibility

Why am I getting a `hmac_mismatch` error when setting up my Android app?

Why does my React Native app keep crashing on iOS?

Hey I'm trying to integrate Intercom with the current React Native app we're working on and while it's working perfectly fine on Android, the iOS keeps crashing. Here are the error details:*** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '+[Intercom setReactNativeVersion:]: unrecognized selector sent to class 0x112eaf318' terminating with uncaught exception of type NSExceptionP.S. I tried adding "react native" as one of the forum question topics but it wasn't available.

iOS SDK setDeviceToken method crash

Hi, We are having the exact same issue as described by a user here: https://forum.intercom.com/s/question/0D52G00004hzX8fSAE/ios-sdk-setdevicetoken-method-crash/p> Since this was 7 months ago, is there any update on this (other than the workaround to manually handle notifications)? Is this still a known issue that is being worked on?  We have just integrated the iOS SDK into our app and are having the exact same issue/crash come through for quite a few of our users. Again, we cannot reproduce ourselves manually. Thanks

I have integrated the intercom SDK in one of my android app and am also able to log Events to the Intercom console, But facing an issue that Intercom SDK not logging the Recent page views on the Intercom console.What change needs to do?

If I get the post on the iOS device the button with links to a published article doesn't openDomain of such links is https://intercom.help//p> In the logs there are records:[Intercom] Checking universal link : [(null)][Intercom] INFO - cannot open URL: (null) Links with other domains and these links sent to as chat messages open successfully

Hi,

Hi, As new user, not sure how Intercom receives bug reports. Thread in Forum was raised, and @eric f11​ responded. There was no ticket number or other tracking. Bug is as of release of sdk 10.1, the dependencies are not included in build, so react-native (1.0.3) fails. The build.gradle uses 10.+ as the version, so 1.0.3 automatically picks up 10.1. We _really_ don't want to commit a fixed node_module, add a script or other workaround for CI/CD since the fix is soooooo easy. Is Intercom planning. a 1.0.4 or 10.1.1 to help us out?

Is there a way to grey out background when displaying post/chat in a mobile app?

Hello! I have just successfully sent myself my very first message within my app, which is pretty exciting! But what I noticed is that right now the avatar and the message itself sit right on top of the bottom nav bar, and it doesn't look great. Is there a way to customize it somehow using SDK so that the background becomes darker or blurry, for example? And another question (if any of you know) - is there a setting to remove "from Breverie" from my name so it only says "Olena"? Thanks a lot in advance!

React-native 0.60.6

Hi, I'm trying to use the intercom libs on our react native apps but I'm running into trouble with the installation. I'm on React Native 0.60.6 (I also tried upgrading to 0.61.x and same error). I yarn added the lib and ran pod install. On iOS I get the following build error: node_modules/react-native-intercom/iOS/IntercomUserAttributesBuilder.m:10:9: 'Intercom/Intercom.h' file not found From podfile.lock, these are the versions it used: - Intercom (10.0.3) - intercom-react-native (1.0.3):  - Intercom (~> 10.0)  - React-Core Interestingly I tried the community integration (https://github.com/intercom/intercom-react-native and had the exact same issue.  Any suggestions on what to try? Also why not allow use of 'Issues' on github?

Register a contact as a lead

Hi,I m trying to find out how to create a contact as a lead, i used the following `registerIdentifiedUser` and `updateUser` and passed `role` as `lead` but it does'nt seems to work.Any one know how to do this, is it even possible through the mobile sdk ? Or should i use the api instead ?

"Something went wrong"

Hi,  Using the mobile SDK and I have a singular user (at least reported) that gets this screen upon selecting the Intercom button. It happens all the time and is not intermittent (reported at least). Is there anyway to know what is going on here? Without being able to debug locally (I don't have access to their account) I don't even know where to start or if there is a way I can intercept the logs that Intercom might be publishing when its not local

Android crashes on ConversationFragment.java

Hello, We've had a load of crashes on our Android app lately that are coming from the Intercom SDK. I've attached the stacktrace below. Just dropping in to share a sneak peak at some work that I think a number of people in the forum will be excited to hear.. we’re working on React Native support 🥳  We’ve started work on a React Native wrapper for our mobile SDKs, and we’re aiming to release it around July. I know not having a supported option for React Native apps has been a pain point for a number of you, so I’m hoping you’ll be as excited about this news as I am! I’ll share more info here as we get closer to the release. Mobile app Intercom's chat missing text field. Users can't reach us

Hi guys, We are having an issue with Intercom's chat on a react-native app, on IOS. The chat works perfectly fine just until you open a modal view. After opening and closing it, if you try to open the chat the text field will be missing, so users won't be able to reach us. There is also a weird UI glitch showing the textfield coming from the top sometimes, and suddenly disappearing. We are using this react-native-intercom library fro the implementation, and the issue has been reproduced in both IOS 13 and 14 beta, on both an Iphone 6s and Iphone Xr. Please, find attached a video showing the weird behaviour. As you can see, the chat works as expected in the first 3 attempts. Then, after opening and closing the Navigation modal, the chat UI is missing its text field. Does anyone ever experienced anything similar? Any workaround? We have been trying to debug this with no luck. Thanks in advance for your time 🙂

Unable to connect from Android Apps

Build error using Xcode 12.5

After installing Intercom SDK using CocoaPods I get a build error trying to run my app on a physical device (on the iOS simulator everything works fine). The error I get is: building for iOS, but linking in dylib file (/Users/zivnergal/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/MishlohaDeliveryApp-axgsnxqfnywcgrevkhngnimsxuzw/Build/Products/Debug-iphoneos/Intercom.framework/Intercom) built for iOS Simulator, file '/Users/zivnergal/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/MishlohaDeliveryApp-axgsnxqfnywcgrevkhngnimsxuzw/Build/Products/Debug-iphoneos/Intercom.framework/Intercom' for architecture arm64 Anyone faced this issue?🙏

After adding intercom (9.2.0) to my app, something breaks and I can't make any networking operations using Android Networking library. I don't see any errors but the network calls seem to fail at some point.

iOS SDK excludes dSYMs when installed via SwiftPM

We're switching from Carthage to SwiftPM and found that the Intercom SDK doesn't include dSYMs when installed via SwiftPM, unlike other binary SDKs we've installed such as Instabug. I just want to let the iOS team at Intercom know so they can add them but apparently all we have is a community supported forum. Does anyone from Intercom read the forums? How can I actually tell someone who can do something about it?

Switching Intercom AppId without relaunch (Android)

I installed the Android Intercom SDK (version 8.2) following the instructions. My app has the ability to connect to our test/QA environment as well as our production environment. We have within Intercom 2 appIds, one for production and one for testing. After the user selects which environment they will be authenticated which at that time we call Intercom.Initialize(application, apiKey, appId). Depending on the environment this is the Ids for QA or Production. However in Android this switch does not occur and only uses the set of Ids it is first given on startup. Is it possible to switch within the app for Android. The iOS app works as expected and does switch between production and qa.
