Hey! I've been reviewing Intercoms documentation. Would like to hear some use cases for tracking in intercom, inbox, articles & series. How did you set it up? Which google products etc did you use? We're not currently utilizing any tracking outside Intercom Reports and want to uplevel.

 I know I can exclude them from each individual message, but that would be very cumbersome. Hoping there is some setting or hack that would allow us to opt out selected users from all future in-app messaging.

The avatar does appear when the sender is selected among the "Teammates", but not when selected among the "Custom addresses", which is the recommended way. 

I've double checked the "Show my tour automatically" settings and still. The tours only launch from the in-app chat, this is the only consistent place that launches the tours. I have adjusted all aspects of my product tour and it still won't launch, anyone else experiencing this issue? P.s - I've made four tours so far and all of them have this issue.

Hi! I am currently developing a custom app to connect Intercom with our Helpedesk platform (JIRA) and I have a cuestion about a feature that I don't know if it's possible to use. We are showing our customers a Live Canvas in the Messenger home screen with their opened issues wich are linked with Intercom conversations. What we want to achieve is that the user can click on the elements to open the corresponding conversation in the messenger (we have the related conversation ID stored in our server). Is there a way to trigger the action of opening a conversation in the messenger through a canvas or via javascript? Thanks for your help!

I have setup a Series with a Rules block that will try to match the user for 7 days. One of the rules applied is if the user has a certain tag. The tag is something we apply manually, so those 7 days gives my team some time to add the tag as that's not done automatically. I thought that once the tag was added (and the user matched the rules), they'd move down the "Matched" path right away but it looks like Intercom will keep the user there for 7 days, and by the end of those days, it will move the user down the "Matched" path (or exit, of they don't have the tag). To me it would make more sense if Intercom checked for 7 days if the user matched the rules, and if they did, they would move along right away, regardless of the 7 days. If not, they would exit after 7 days still. Do I understand how this works correctly or am I missing something?

Is there a way to send an automatic Out of Office answer for an individual team member when their status would be set to "away" or "away and reassigning"? Would be very helpful to manage expectations of customers.

I want a list of all the contacts that I have open conversations with, in a person inbox or team inbox. I need to export that list to a CSV for use in our CRM.

I have been using snooze as a reminder button. Under what conditions is this snooze removed? I have noticed that if i reply to an already snoozed conversation, the conversation is no longer available in the snoozed section? does this mean that the snooze is no longer valid?

How can i target articles by region? Do users need to be logged in to target them by region? We have set up custom domains for articles, including SSL. As per https://developers.intercom.com/installing-intercom/docs/set-up-your-custom-domain#section-how-to-configure-ssl-with-aws When we try to target articles to regions it seems to work for users already logged in but the article does not show up for users from that region if not logged in (or as they go to log in).  We can see the filtering does something... note the figure of 11,376 people who can see it.  But if we vpn to that region as a user from that region we cannot view the article. By resetting/removing the targeting/filter (to be "Everyone can view") we can view the article.  We want to be able to target articles by region, not just whether they are logged in currently. What is the best way to target articles by region?

I'd like to split recipients in a series to receive slightly different versions of a message. It's not a test, per se, and I'd like to send a follow-up message for each version of the first message. There's no criteria for who gets which version of the message, it'd just like to split it evenly. So, an A/B test of the message doesn't seem to be the answer, since I can't tie the follow-up message to the specific version of the first email. A split test block seems like it would do what I want, but I don't want to upgrade just to test it out.  Any ideas?

As per the API documentation v2.4, the endpoint `Detach a tag from a conversation` doesn't need any parameter. But on making a call, it throws an error `admin_id` is required.Seems like discrepancy in the documentation.Please correct it ASAP, as it is impacting us highly.

Hello, Intercom community, I set live three different newsletters, but I cannot see them in the left sidebar when I am creating a new campaign. I just see an option that asks me if I want to show the unsubscribe link, but no dropdown menu with the three newsletters selectable. What am I doing wrong?

On our help center we have articles that have been rewritten and changed url, the link of the old articles is still available on some sites. The link of the old articles redirects to the new one. The problem is that on some links we end up with 4 redirects before reaching the right page. I have deleted a company with the company_id of "1", that company is no longer visible anywhere in the Intercom interface. However I can see it in the API (using your official Ruby gem) with a call to:client.companies.find(company_id: "1")So the delete command must be just soft deleting companies. When it comes to contacts you can hard delete them from the account settings page (settings/delete-user), is there any such call for companies? I noticed this during development when reseting my database and attempting to create a new company. I have logic that attempts to find or create a new company for a given ID, in this case it appeared to work successfully because it was updating data on the soft deleted company.

Our service is based on chatting with our clients. When they first register, they go through a non-intercom onboarding to our platform. Immediately after finishing registration and onboarding, a custom bot fires welcoming them to the platform. Once the client interacts with the bot, they get routed to an available agent via the round robin inbox function.  We want the client to be roundrobin'd when they first receive the bot message - not after they respond/interact with the bot. How can I do that?

Does anyone use Macros for internal-facing agent procedural help? Step-by-step instructions? I don't want to use Guru. I want to keep my internal-facing needed knowledge available and searchable WITHIN Intercom.
