I wanted to say great job to the intercom team who handles bots. We recently switched from Zendesk Answer Bot and you guys just did an amazing job with the whole product and UI. Works 10x better. Thanks!

The iOS SDK is crashing our app anytime a push notification is received in the background and sometimes even in the foreground on iOS 14. ** I have attempted to report this to Intercom via the messenger and haven't received a response in > 4 days. ** Our mobile app is built on Ionic and we are using Firebase messaging as our main push notification service. If the Intercom SDK is installed in the project - the app will crash when a background notification is received - and on iOS 14 - sometimes even when in the foreground. This has required us to completely remove the SDK. It has been identified that the mere presence of the SDK - even if we don't call or reference it in code - causes this issue. We have since removed it and had 0 crashes.

It seems as though the mobile app does not receive a push notification until 10 minutes after getting a message. Is this normal? Furthermore, my status is always set as 'away' unless I have a browser window open with intercom. This seems to be ridiculous. How do I expect anyone to message us when a status is always set to away, with no obvious way to change this? Why is it that a mobile push notification takes a solid ten minutes to go through? This seems to undermine the entire point of using the mobile app. Just thought I would check with the community before cancelling this.

I want to send a post message to our users as soon as they log into the app or the web. Basically, for it to pop-up as they log in, if possible.I'm confused about how to make the filters accurate to that criteria: Does putting "time on current page = 1 second" cover it? Or do I need to follow that with our homepage URL maybe? Any other tips are welcome :), I'm still figuring things out.Thanks!

Hi, on Fridey I tried to export users, I selected filters. Clicked to make an export, it was written that it will happen in a few hours. It has already been over 96 hours, no file. And so 4-5 times. 

For example, for index page I want all chat inquiries to be assigned to Steve but for contact page I want the chat message to be assigned automatically to other team members. I checked API docs but couldn't find anything on this matter. Thank you in advance. 

Hello guys.I was wondering how can I send unsubscribe links with emails I send with the API (create conversation) I've tried few things:Add {{ unsubscribe_link }} to the email but I got back an error: "there is no variable called 'unsubscribe_link'"Create the unsubscribe link myself but I noticed that in order to do so I most modify the conversation id, and unfortunately I only manage to get it after I send the message.Change template - tried to create a custom template with the unsubscribe button but it seems like the create message API doesn't support any other template besides "plain" and "personal".Add unsubscribe button to all mails by default - couldn't find any setting like this Any suggestions?Best, Tomer.

Hi everyone! Trying to set my first series live, but when I press the button "Set live" my entry rule shows me the message "finish editing your changes". Then I see popup - how many customers will be in my audience when I start the series, I press "OK" and ... get the notification (red block on top of the page) - "The audince is invalid" 0_o My series is very simple, I did it by template, and all changes have finished. How I can fix that??

Example: If a user requests a booking with a plumber. We automatically send him a confirmation with his Name, Date requested and plumbing service details selected etc... This could be sent by mail, push or both.

We want to send our welcome campaign from the account manager assigned.  So far, I've duplicated the campaign and adjusted the sender, but it's tough to scale and manage with our growing number of account managers.  Is there a better way? Maybe now that we migrate to Series? 🙏

I build my product tour and when I get to stage 5, or add another step, it says that the URL doesn't match and the site can't be loaded.  The challenge for us is that we built our portal via Stacker (a 3rd party front end linking with airtable) and to get intercom on our site, we added the code that was generated and sent it to the guys for them to load on. It appears that there may be an issue with how it's configured?  Can anyone assist?

We've noticed that once an interaction gets through the custom bot flows and is placed in an inbox, there is a several minute delay before assigning that chat to an agent. We're seeing this impact both our wait times and our team efficiency as chats tend to add up quickly in the queue during peak hours. Would love any advice someone may have on how to resolve this!

Is it possible to set up a rule If the user didn't respond to the last message in the x hours period then automatically close the conversation?

I have created an app for Messenger . The app integrates to the messenger after installation from marketplace. Lets say i have 10 users who installed my app. When they click on the app in messenger , how do i know which user is hitting my express.js api . Is there any token stored by Intercom while installing the app ? If yes, does it include this token while hitting my api?

I have slack integration setup for "All conversation activity" However it seems like half the time I do not get notifications for replies to existing conversations.   Does anyone have reliable slack notifications working for Intercom?

This is in case of series where I'd like users to not receive product tours in succession.

Bare with me as this is really abstract.  Goal: Drive customers into our apps with bonus of any follow on engagement being in app and live (we know who you are, where you are and what you are doing) Use Case; Agents share links to customers via a click which adds link to an email which sends customers to an external SF community knowledge base. Preferred Use Case; Agent shares a link to an article that send an in app message with the article content in the message so they stay in the app. Thinking this through it feels like a bunch of API wizardry would be needed on both the Salesforce and Intercom end to get this experience. An alternate option would be able to surface Intercom articles in Service Cloud via the Articles API but against a bunch of API wizardry. Has anyone thought of doing anything a bit abstract like this or is it just me 😮. Full disclaimer, I have zero DEV or API skills.

Hi,I'm building my product's onboarding using series. I found that product tours doesn't work on mobile, so I want to show mobile users a post/chat instead of the tour. Is this a good practice? Is there a better way for matching mobile/desktop users than checking OS prop? Thanks

We want to manually import users into Intercom and some of the data has multiple items associated with one attribute. For example, a user could provide multiple services. How would I format my CSV to make this attribute a list and upload correctly?

We are moving from Zendesk to Intercom. In Zendesk, when someone calls in for support, we use Zendesk Macro's to pull up troubleshooting steps and take internal notes and do tagging. What is the best practice for taking internal notes in Intercom that the User/Customer doesn't see. I'd like to start a new conversation with the user, but not actually share the conversation with the user. Has anyone gone through a transition from Zendesk to Intercom that may have some insights on options that are comparable to how Zendesk work?
