We’re trying to use the CSV filtering feature in the outbound chat to match phone numbers with our audience. But the process (tagging) takes way too long, 1+ hour for just 1 user, and still shows 0 people in the tags list. On the other hand, using the name as the matching attribute took only ~3min for the same user. I don’t think this is a format issue because the CSV file was created in notepad not Excel (which uses scientific notations). The Phone attribute is a text.

I’m working with Intercom tooltips and want to show or hide them conditionally from my web UI.I have a toggle button in my frontend that allows users to manually turn tooltips on or off. Based on this toggle, I want to control the visibility of Intercom tooltips.What I’ve done so far: In Intercom, I configured the tooltip rule as: learn_mode == true On the frontend, when the toggle button is clicked, I call: Intercom('update', { learn_mode: true }); // or false The goal is: learn_mode = true → show tooltips learn_mode = false → hide tooltips Issue:The Intercom('update') call does not seem to trigger the tooltip. The tooltip does not appear or disappear as expected when toggling the button.Question:What could be the possible reasons why the Intercom('update') call is not triggering the tooltip, and what should I check to ensure the tooltip renders correctly based on the custom attribute?

We have customers using different spellings, typos, etc .of words while searching for content in our help centre and not finding our content as a result. How can I add common alternatives to word in an article or the backend, to ensure our customers always find what they’re looking for even if they are using different language to us? This is not related to SEO but and solutions welcome.E.g : a customer searching for a Wi-Fi connectivity article types in wifi and nothing comes up. or a customer types in TRV (thermostatic radiator valve) and nothing comes up because we use ‘Smart Radiator Thermostat’.

We are currently testing Fin AI and we noticed that the messenger does not take into account the page the user is currently visiting on our website.For example, if a user is on a specific product page and asks “What is the price?”, Fin responds with a generic answer instead of using the price of the product shown on that page.We would like to understand: How can we pass the current page context (URL, product ID, metadata, etc.) to Fin? Is there a supported way to provide Fin with dynamic context about the page the user is viewing? Does Fin automatically receive page URL or page-specific data from the Messenger, or does this need to be configured manually (e.g. via attributes, events, or APIs)? Our goal is for Fin to answer context-aware questions based on the exact product or page the user is interacting with.Thanks in advance

Hi everyone,My team is trying to refine our reporting, and we’re running into an issue where our "First Response Time" metrics are being skewed.We are trying to measure the speed of our agents picking up a chat specifically after Fin hands it off.However, we often have scenarios where Fin closes a chat without human interaction. Then, a few days later, we might manually check in on that user or follow up on the closed conversation. Currently, the reporting counts those intervening days as "wait time," which makes our response metrics look inaccurate (showing 2+ day response times for chats that were actually closed).Does anyone have a workaround or a specific filter setup that isolates "Active Fin Hand-offs" vs. "Manual Follow-ups on Closed Chats"? We want to see how fast we are responding to immediate needs, without the data being dragged down by our sporadic follow-ups.Thanks in advance!

Hi,I’ve found an issue with the in-app message preview on Android where the actual message content is not visible, I assume because the text color matches the background color.You can see this issue replicated in your expo-example app from https://github.com/intercom/intercom-react-native/tree/main/examples/expo-example in the screenshot below.I can’t find anything obvious on the Native Android app settings that is causing this issue, so perhaps there is a styling issue in the Intercom SDK?Thanks for your help

Hi there! We’ve recently recieved reports from our support team that carousels aren’t displaying within the app. In our android code, we initialize intercom, and then if we are authenticated, we call loginIdentifiedUser after. This logic has been unchagned for a while and had worked for well over a year. Through debugging we have found that adding an artifical delay (9 seconds) between initialize and loginIdentifiedUser results in the carousesl to show again. Without the delay, login completes successfully (the callback returns a success), but the carousels don’t show.Is this expected behavior, or something on our end? Guidance would be greatly appreciated here  We’re using version 17.4.0 of intercom. 

We are using @intercom/intercom-react-native v9.4.0 with Expo.When we send mobile push notifications, we can track:    •    How many users received the push    •    Which users opened it (tap on the push)  However, we also use POST messages, and inside those POST we include deeplinks to redirect users to specific screens in the app.Here’s the issue:    •    We can track how many users opened the POST message    •    But we cannot track link interactions inside the POST    •    The “Clicked” metric is always empty, even when users tap the deeplinkIs there any workaround or recommended approach to track when users tap deeplinks or links inside POST messages?   

We recently started using JWT for authn/AuthZ.There is a property that the SDK adds to requests to Intercom. It is called anonymous_session . It appears to keep the API calls to Intercom working beyond the JWT expiry. :Why does this keep authentication alive? Is there a way we can disable it to have more control over the amount of time the API is accessible.

How can I search a ticket using the ticket_id with the rest API? It looks like we can only search with id, not ticket_id.

Partial Language Update via updateUser Issue: When calling Intercom.updateUser({ languageOverride: Language }) to switch the UI language, the change is inconsistent. Sometimes only a portion of the Intercom UI updates, while other elements remain in the previous language.     Workaround: A full and correct language switch only occurs after calling Intercom.logout() and re-initializing, which is not ideal for user experience. Expected Behavior: The entire Intercom UI should refresh to the target language immediately upon calling updateUser. 2. Android: Messages Not Appearing After Sending Issue: On Android devices, when a user sends a message, the message bubble occasionally fails to appear in the chat interface immediately.
