Hi all,  I've just set up the HubSpot app so it can send Intercom leads and conversations into our HubSpot account.  The leads are sent over perfectly. However, no conversations are being sent at all.  I've been following the documentation here: https://www.intercom.com/help/en/articles/2128216-hubspot-app-send-leads-and-conversations-to-hubspot/p> I've enabled this Intercom activity filter here as well:  But if I create a new conversation in Intercom, it is still not sent to HubSpot. Any help with this would be massively appreciated!  Mike

I’m looking for a way to ensure that Intercom conversations are added to customer records in HubSpot automatically.I’ve come across some apps in the Intercom App Store, but I’d love to hear from anyone who’s done this before. Specifically:Are there any integrations you’d recommend? Ideally something that doesn’t require dev work (but if it does, that’s ok) How well do they sync conversations between Intercom and HubSpot? For our car-sharing company in the Netherlands (Amsterdam) we are looking for an experienced Intercom specialist who is able to optimise our system. We have implemented it about 1 year ago and although we have things running with workflows and such we don’t believe we are utilising it to the full extend so it can start giving us easier insights and monitoring. We also work with Back Office and also want a better integration of Intercom with this system. 

Hey! I discovered that the Side conversations option allows to send messages to Slack—neat! However, it is not straight forward to later on find the conversations that have side conversations. Any ideas of how this could be done? In short, this is the workflow that we are aiming at: When we need to ping someone from the team for a quick question, start side conversation and set message to selected Slack channel (this part is covered) Then find a way to easily keep track of this conversation (or any conversation that as a side conversation) within Intercom, like using Views or something similar. (This is not done!)I figured it could be done using Views filters (like when we filter conversations that have tickets, etc.), but I failed to get it working. Any thoughts, tips or tricks?

Hey everyone, I’m running into something odd when sharing longer urls inside intercom chats. For example, when I drop something like https://blxfruitscript.com/redz-hub-blox-fruits-script/ into a reply, sometimes it doesn’t preview properly or users say it doesn’t open on mobile. Could this be related to link formatting, security filters, or message length limits?I’m also wondering if this behavior changes when links are inside automated replies or bots compared to normal agent messages. Any tips on making sure links stay clickable and reliable for users?

Hi there, I am starting with a very simply implementation. We are only using Facebook through socials to start (no web or mobile implementation.) We have a workflow that I want to run whenever someone opens a new conversation with us. I don’t want it to run the workflow for that person again until we close the conversation. Our workflow asks some basic questions and then assigns the conversation to me. I want to them communicate manually with the lead and then once I am done I want to close the conversation, and the next time they message us they get the workflow again.Thank you!

Hi! We just set up intercom/slack connection which is very awesome! We don’t yet want Fin replying, and I have turned off all Fin workflows.  But, I can’t stop Fin from posting response times in slack threads in our community.  I can’t work out how to turn this off.  Any ideas?  Thanks Matt  

The v2.13 REST API introduces support for creating, updating, and reading custom object instances. But, the documentation does not say anything about updating references – either on those instances themselves, or references to custom objects as custom attributes on people.Without the ability to associate custom objects with contacts or conversations, the API doesn’t seem very useful.I’ve tried to pass contact IDs and external IDs, and objects with an “id” key with no success, both as arrays and as simple attributes. Based on how the contacts/{id}/companies endpoint works, I’d probably expect the following to work:POST /custom_object_instancesContent-Type: application/json{"external_id": "123", "custom_attributes": {"Owner":{"id":"6602eae0ca854b5e2a01f503"}}And if the attribute support multiple people, it should support an array. Whenever Fin receives a negative rating from a customer, I review the conversation and decide if perhaps it should be escalated to a human, or make improvements to our content. Are there any suggestions for automating this process? Or reports that tell us why there was a DSAT rating specifically (outside of the CX score)? Or perhaps a section in Optimize that will show us content suggestions specifically linked to a DSAT outcome? 

I would like to set FIN over the holidays so that it informs customers that the wait time for human support may be a little longer. Where can I set what FIN responds when asked for human support?

Hi!  I’m the CEO of a high ticket, low volume equipment manufacturing company.  We use Hubspot for our sales CRM and customer support.  The allure was to have all of our data in one place, which also likely reduces costs.  But in practice, creating “automations” manually to facilitate ticket management is absurdly and unnecessarily complex compared to any support-first product like Intercom.  I’m also curious as to AI / chatbot features between Hubspot and Intercom.We receive about 50 tickets per month but many of those are simple requests that could surely be answered by an AI bot, which would allow our staff to focus on the truly urgent.The urgent, priority 911, requests typically require a video call on Zoom or Whatsapp to visually inspect the customer’s equipment, diagnose, and address.My current belief is that our needs are so basic and our requests so minimal, that Intercom would be overkill and not worth the additional cost and integration complexity, but I’m making this post to

Hi,Recently I have been noticing that we have been receiving an error_code of “not_found” when making a POST request to the /contacts endpoint (creating a contact).This is surprising as I am not sure how this is possible when creating a contact (as opposed to updating one).If it helps, an example request id for this 000bkte0pcsrns5hpus0, hopefully I am not just off-base but I was looking to understand how this might happen? I am not sure what this error code could mean when trying to create a contact.

Hi there! I’m trying to test a use case, but no luck so far, so I wanted o see if any of you tried something similar. Use case: I need Fin to override the user’s initial inquiry IF Fin detects a Health check issue on the user’s account. I have the data connector set up, and I added a When/If/then guidance. So far, this guidance is only triggered if the user asks a direct question about their account health status. Here’s a screenshot of the rule:  

All of sudden today our native Android crash started crashing whenever a user tried to access Intercom. This was the crash:java.lang.ClassNotFoundException - org.msgpack.core.buffer.MessageBufferUThe crash only happened with builds obfuscated by ProGuard. The crash still happened even after adding the keep rules according to the documentation:-keep class io.intercom.android.** { *; }-keep class com.intercom.** { *; } We solved the crash by adding the following to our proguard-rules.pro file: -keep class org.msgpack.** { *; }I have a couple of questions:Why did the crash start happening all of a sudden? Why is it not mentioned in the documentation that we need to keep org.msgpack classes unobfuscated? How can we be sure to prevent similar crashes from happening ever again? Thank you

I can create a tracker ticket and link user raised conversations. Can add a note that I can then copy down to all linked conversations.How could I add a comment on the tracker (parent) that actually creates that same note as an email in all the linked conversations?  

I’ve noticed FIN closing some conversations because the user didn’t explicitly confirm escalation, even though the conditions for escalation were met. The rules I set were: Escalate if the user shows negative or neutral sentiment. Escalate when the user provides all required information. Escalate when the user requests escalation. The issue is that when a user provides all the information and FIN sends the escalation message “An agent will be with you soon,” it later follows with “Is there anything else I can help you with?”If the user responds with something like “No,” FIN ignores the first escalation message and treats the user’s “No” as a signal to close the chat. Instead of keeping the ticket open for an agent, it ends the conversation.

Hi everyone, We’re seeing Fin frequently sending a follow-up message after responses, like:“Did that answer your question?” / “Was this helpful?” In many cases it happens almost after every message, and it can feel repetitive for customers. Is there a way to control the frequency of this follow-up (reduce it, change when it appears, or disable it)? We’d like more control so it doesn’t trigger too often.

Hi Intercom Support/Community,We want Fin to trigger an OTP verification flow whenever a customer asks for personal information, before Fin is allowed to call our backend and retrieve sensitive data. What we have today (custom SMS OTP via our backend): Data Connector – Generate OTP: calls our backend, and the user receives a code via SMS. Data Connector – Verify OTP: Fin should ask the user for the code, send it to our backend for verification, and then our backend returns a token. After verification, we want Fin to use that token to access backend information via subsequent calls We tried implementing this via Fin Tasks, but it’s not working well for us.Question: What is the most effective/supported way in Intercom to implement this flow end-to-end (SMS OTP + verification + then allow sensitive Data Connector calls)?

When retrieving a conversation via the REST API  GET /conversations/{id}, the initial message that starts a side conversation is not included in the response. Only subsequent replies appear as part_type: "side_conversation_reply" or part_type: "side_conversation_started" as a conversation_part under the  conversation_parts section.Observed behavior: The originating message (e.g., "Hi team, please answer clients query below...") sent by an admin to start the side conversation is completely missing. This message doesn’t appears neither in the api response nor in the main conversation thread in the intercom website, but when we click View side conversation in the main conversation thread in intercom, we can view all the side conversations opened in a separate dialog box.We want to ingest all side conversations related to a conversationId, Is there any endpoint provided by intercom to ingest them? or any other possible way?

There is a property that the SDK adds to requests to Intercom. It is called anonymous_session . It appears to keep the API calls to Intercom working beyond the JWT expiry. :Why does this keep authentication alive? Is there a way we can disable it to have more control over the amount of time the API is accessible.

I am seeing a persistent error when trying to save and set live a specific, large inbound workflow in Intercom.​ Trigger: When customer opens a new conversation in the Messenger for Web, audience = Leads and Users.​ Symptoms: UI shows: “We couldn't set this workflow live. Send us a message and we'll do our best to help out.” at the top of the builder.​ Network tab shows the PUT request to /ember/matching_system/rulesets/{id} returning 502 Bad Gateway (nginx) when saving/setting live this workflow.​ The ruleset payload shows an ID, links, etc., but predicate_group, client_predicate_group, and default_predicate_group are empty arrays.​ Troubleshooting already done No red paths or visible validation errors anywhere in the workflow builder.​ Clicked Save and close first every time before trying Set live.​ Saving is also not working now. Before it was working file Tried: Incognito / private windows and multiple browsers.​ Clearing cookies and hard refresh.​ D
