Hello, I tried to use react-use-intercom in my nextjs project, everything works fine on desktop, safari but the chat hides on other browsers when using mobile devices. Please help me fix the issue. Thanks!

I'm being prevented from putting the email in the body of the intercom web message, every time I try to put it in, I get: POST 403 (Forbidden). Why is this happening? Can't I send the email? Hi,  We have intercom messaging via our web app (react application with intercom/messenger-js-sdk). We’d like to log in our user so we can retain conversations with them, but we don’t want to track their location or page views, is there a way to stop collecting this information?  Thanks!

Hey!In our use case, we are creating a contact (user or a lead) and then booting the intercom messenger for the created contact.When we are creating a user, we return the user external_id and hash that was generated, and we start the messenger with this data, this way the user sees correct conversation and history.We want to do the same for a created lead, we don’t want to generate the lead on the client side, but on the backend and then use the lead data to boot the messenger.We seems to be missing something, because we could not get the messenger started for a lead.We try using the lead.id, lead.external_id, with and without the lead hash, added the createdAt timestamp, tried a combination of those properties, but nothing seems to start the messenger for a specific lead.What data does the boot function want to get to allow us to start if for a specific lead?Thank you!

One of our users has sent an screenshot of our site. A smiling magnifying glass shows right where the intercom FAB is located by default. We are trying to figure out if this is an intercom button or some other extension. The page in question hides with code the intercom FAB. Could this be the cause for this issue? Could the user have started an action in intercom and then navigated to this screen resulting in this button showing up?  

So when a user reach out to us on the chatbot, the chatbot sends out the automatic messages “Give the team a way to reach out” and ask for the email. How can I disable this or configure this? 

Trying to get started with the messenger but unable to get it to appear. Like the title says, using React and Next.What I have so far in my app:Intercom is loaded (`window.Intercom` is defined)"boot" and "update" are getting called in the correct spots with the (presumably) correct payloadsI'm getting successful responses back from `https://widget.intercom.io/widget/APP_ID`as well as `https://api-iam.intercom.io/messenger/web/ping`/li>In the DOM, there is a hidden iframe element with id `intercom-frame` and a div with id `intercom-lightweight-app`. The div only contains a style element, there is no contentCurious what could prevent the messenger button from appearing when everything I mentioned above appears to be working correctly

Hey Everyone, So i’ve been having this issue where Intercom isn’t saving users chats if they log in on a different platform - The big issue being that with Kajabi, it’s really have to to get the “logged in user” data from Kajabi. they are very particular with the data they share. I did find a post here about some code to install in the Theme.Liquid file, and i’ve tried that but not sure i’ve it correctly. I’m wondering if anyone else has any experience solving this issue.  I believe it’s just a matter of pointing intercom to where it can get the correct User ID or email from kajabi, but i’ve gone back and forth with Kajabi and they aren’t super helpful. Any tips or help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you!

howdy! 🤠does anyone know if it’s possible to send a user to another page after successfully completing a checklist? The idea would be to use the action button on the celebration section of the messenger to send the user to a related topic.At the moment I only see one option for the action button: close completion screen.

Hey all!  I am using Kajabi to identify logged in / logged out users. That is about it.  However, i want to tag them as they come in and this needs to be done on Zapier but I cannot get it to work properly.  Can someone possibly help?

We cannot send message via  messenger. Also closing conversations is not possible. 

Hi there, Gaël frontend developer.We are using the Messenger in my company. I’d like to mask sensitive information from the Intercom Messenger when viewing replays from session captured by Datadog RUM. To perform that, I would like to add the “data-dd-policy=’mask’” in HTML on a specific div tag concerning Intercom (like the <div id=”intercom-container”>). Do you know if there is a simple way to perform that ? Thanks for your help.

Hello! Hope you're all doing great. As stated above, my question is: is there a way to disable the Messenger showing a preview of new messages in a small, borderless box? I'd like to stick only to the red bubble that indicates a new message and nothing else, if possible. Thanks!

How do you install Intercom on Wix? I've tried adding the JavaScript to the custom code section on Wix, but it didn't work. I also downloaded the Intercom via certified code from the app market, but that didn't work either. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I found that when using Firefox with smaller screen size (tablet and mobile view), the messenger widget does not show up like desktop. Not only on my application, but also any website that use Intercom.My current environment:OS: macOS 14.6.1 Browser: Firefox 131.0 (aarch64)

Hi, I have a user who is unable to see the “Start Conversation” (in our case “Send us a message”) button I have read this article and checked our settings and have confirmed they are all what they should be. We are not using assignment capacity. I have also been unable to reproduce the problem on the same device/browser as the user or any other combination. We have tried clearing their browser cache, and logging in/out of or application (to re-initialize the Intercom connection) The problem is on an iPhone SE using Safari, but using a simulator I was unable to reproduce the issue. One thing I find odd is that I also don’t see the button in question in the preview editor (for either users or visitors) but am not sure if this is a red herring.

I want to set an event on my site. So when the customer click on it, there will be an automated message sent from the customer to our chat box and we will collect their data  as lead from then. I tried setting the series with rules but it seems that those are my actions, not the lead (customer). Is there any workaround?

This is not really a messenger-related question, but I'm really frustrated.  What's everyone's experience with the Intercom Customer Support team in terms of responsiveness? I consistently have a really bad one. Most of my tickets take around 24 hours to receive the first response. When I chatted with their Account rep/CSM, I was told that 24 hours is "expected" - which I think is really ridiculous. I would expect something a bit shorter like 4 hours or 8 hours. This basically means that I don't even get timely answers to urgent questions.  The Account rep/CSM told me about the "Premium" support option - which also seems VERY expensive and something that I feel like most vendors offers at a way lesser cost. Additionally, if there is a product bug, they refuse to keep the ticket open even if I ask them to since they have no ETA. There doesn't seem to be a way to escalate a product bug as well.
