Bit niche but I'm looking at disabling the email that gets sent to users when they are added to an existing conversation chain. I just want an email to trigger when a message is sent instead

Do i need to publish my app on intercom for API calls?

Anyone facing an issue while adding filters to Posts, Emails? Like the preview does not show numbers. Only after multiple refresh it shows.

Currently my company uses Intercom to message users around new features, re-engagement campaigns, onboarding and more. We've migrated what we can to Series, and we are utilizing the "last contacted" attribute wherever we can. Still a significant number of messages don't make sense as a series because they are one-off sends. We're still running into issues where users are receiving multiple messages when they log into our product, because there is no intrinsic priority order to the variety of messages that a user would fit the qualifications for, especially if they haven't visited in several days/weeks. So for example, if a user hasn't visited in 3 days, there may be messages from multiple series and one-off messages they would qualify to see upon landing in the product, and they all load near the same time.  Has anyone navigated this challenge before and found a way for all of these outbound methods to play nicely?  Recommendation from Intercom support was

We are exploring the option of offering localized support to our customers. Ideally, we would allow customers to choose between three time zones for support such as U.S. Pacific, EMEA, or AEDT and only offer them support during the time they have chosen. We were planning on creating some type of attribute for this in Salesforce so we could easily identify which customers are part of each support offering. Where we seem to be struggling is the routing. We are currently thinking that we will need 4 separate inboxes/ teams (one for PT, one for EMEA, one for AEDT, and one for 24/5 support). As some of these times will overlap, our team is looking at having to watch multiple inboxes. We are also struggling to figure out how we would be able to continue to use auto-assignment as there is no way to turn off auto assignment for a particular inbox.  We want to ensure customers only receive support during the time offering they have chosen. Any best practices anyone can share around this?

Hello all,  I am wondering if Intercom allows us to have insights regarding deliverability (not sends)? And if this can be seen per domain? I am interested to see the IP health, and also the deliverability of the series that we have in place.  Any insights are much appreciated. Thank you! Regards 

I'd like to create a link that contains attributes from the user:  But when doing so, I cannot find the utm parameters in the attributes list:  I basically want to create a link like the followinghttps://sample.com?utm_medium=medium&utm_source=source&utm_campaign=campaign where the utm parameters are the ones which the user had before opening the conversation with the bot. If this is currently not possible through the intercom interface, would this be possible using custom scripts? I see this developer post on github that could be a solution, but dunno even how should I implement such script. ThanksGas

I don't believe I can create a rule to tag it by "message content" since the relevant lines are status updates within the ticket and not content sent in a message either to or from the user. The issue is that this creates untagged conversations which can skew our data.

I've got two posts that are live-- one that is a monthly product update, and another asking for feedback on a specific new feature. Both have the same audience, and are meant to appear as soon as the user logs in. If the user logs in when the first post is set live, then logs in again when the second post is set live a few days later, then there is no issue: both posts have great visibility. My issue is, if the user hasn't yet seen the first post before the second one is set live, when they log in, they just see the very first post pop up; to find the second post, they have to go to their message history, and the post is marked as read already. Ideally, they'd get two pop-ups for both posts. I have tried setting this second post to "large", hoping that perhaps the difference in format would mean both would appear, but it seems not. I also haven't found a filter that would enable me to show a post only if another post has already been seen; would the "last

From our backend app we are responding with different canvas JSON objects based on user input while adding an app. We can see that our canvas JSON is sent properly, but it's not rendered correctly at Intercom side. Please check and let us know.

I want to set up a Post that only appear on specific pages that can only be accessed by admins but I'm having difficulty getting the Post to appear on admin pages. I have a Post that is intended to appear on specific pages that can only be accessed by admins. I scoped it to pages that contain `/admin` in the URL and I limited users to only those who clicked on `admin` on the nav (which is only visible to admins). However, the Post doesn't appear on any of the pages containing `/admin`.

It appears I can't set a chat footer. This is very important to us and I'm super-surprised that it doesn't exist yet for such a mature product. Have I missed something or is it coming? Thanks, Neil

Hello, We want to add in Android/iOS the Messenger and Helpcenter. We "think" we have all well configured because in Android we are seeing everything good. In iOS is not working looks like the screen appear and disappear in less than a second. For mor information, we are calling Intercom.presentHelpCenter() (see video). Any help is appreciated Thanks!

I have an article with multiple sections and I want to add a navigation menu so that users can click on the section they want to skip to. I've seen it in other Help Centers, but I'm not sure if I can even do that in Intercom. Has anyone been able to? I've included a screenshot from the Mixpanel help center for reference. Hello, I have a couple of questions regarding using recurring messages that have tag-based rules. Let's say I have a message that is sent to users with a certain tag, is scheduled to be sent once per week, and is sent to users up to 3 times.If a user receives 1 message and I untag the user, will they continue receiving the message?If a user receives 3 messages and I untag and re-tag them, will they receive another set of 3 messages? Thank you!

Hey there, I want to automatically start a conversation for the user on button click which pre-fills conversation custom attributes to let the support know a internal error id and the failing code part. How can I add these custom attributes to a conversation when the JS api doesn't allow such? Can I somehow get the conversation id to update the conversation attributes via API after creation? Do you see any other option? Will the "JS API" be sophisticated at any time in future?
