Hi Intercom,Our team has been using the Slack Convert app (app_package_code=slack-by-intercom) installed five years ago, and we have used it to notify 'User created' and 'All conversation activity.' We are now trying to migrate all of our services to another Slack workspace, and it seems that Slack Convert is no longer available to be installed.There is an alternative Slack app (app_package_code=slack-for-intercom) that I was able to set up to notify when a customer or team member sends any messages via automations. However, it seems it does not have a 'User created' equivalent Is there any way I can send 'User created' events to Slack directly via Intercom? Thanks

It doesn't currently work on mobile devices (including tablets) in the browser or in mobile apps.” So we had to implement Post messages for our webapp mobile users in order to support their onboarding with videos.I want to allow our mobile users to view an onboarding video in a vertical 9:16 format, however I am unable so far to find the right solution:I tried inserting the video in my Post, but it’s displayed in a small size like a snippet of the original video. Also, I cannot hide the sender and the video is played by default without sound (with the button to unmute not very visible), Then I tried embedding a YouTube video. We have Enabled Push Messaging being set to True or Unknown correctly when a user creates an account and opts in to notifications (True) or skips it (Unknown). However, if a user turn off notifications via their phone settings (not via the app) Enabled Push Messaging is not updated. How is this supposed to work?

We have created a custom launcher for our web application to access the Intercom Messenger. We are implementing our own custom badging as well and using the onUnreadCountChange Javascript API method. However, when testing the badging functionality, the count seems to be inaccurate. For example, if an user has only one active conversation and our agent sends them 4 messages, is the expected return value from unreadCount supposed to be 4? From what we observed, if an user has multiple active conversations, then the unreadCount will then be 2.We are expecting and would like the unread count to be the total number of unread messages for a customer’s conversation(s). However, it seems as if the unread count is only associated with the number of unread conversations instead.Could you help clarify this, thanks! Best,Jonathan

Hey all! hope you’re having a wonderful day! I’m currently trying to integrate Paypal notifications (specifically Dispute chargebacks notifications) to be received in my Intercom inbox. There are ways to do this (through API or Webhooks in Zapier) but I was wondering if there’s another way or documentation to quickly set this up and start receiving these kind of notification in Intercom. Is it possible? Thank you!

Cannot find an article to explain the real difference between these two and which one is the most accurate to report on volumes. Additionally, the totals do not add up under the Team Performance Tab to either of the above for total conversations. Any help is appreciated.

Hi. I have a problem with the “Let users start a conversation” setting not working for customers with zero conversations.This was tested on react native v6.3.0 and i tried both “Let users start a conversation” on and off. And i think i found an issue.When i don’t have any conversations and the above option is ON I get this screen. Which is correct. Top right you have an icon to start conversations and in the middle you also have a button to start new conversations.When i switch this to OFF i get this screen which is NOT correct. As you can see at the top right the icon is gone. Which is correct as a have disabled starting new conversations but the button is still available in the middle of the screen. Seems like the button in the middle doesn’t follow the setting but the button in top right does 

We use react native sdk v6.20 and we set “Let users start a conversation” to false to prevent users from starting new conversations. But they still have the button “Send us a message”. I read that this should be fixed in v6.20 issue seems to be only for users with no conversations. if Let users start a conversation is falseuser with 0 conversations can see the button to start new conversations in the middle of the screen “Send us a message”user with 1 conversation doesn’t see the button but only their previous conversationsif Let users start a conversation is trueuser with 0 conversations can see the button to start new conversations in the middle of the screen “Send us a message”user with 1 conversation also sees the button at the top of the modal to start new conversation.so this means that if you don’t have conversations you can start new conversations regardless of the Let users start a conversation settingand if you do have conversations then the setting works as expected

I’ve created a newsfeed, created a news item in that newsfeed and set it live. I made sure I am part of the newsfeed as a user. But when I go to my site, I don’t see the newsfeed anywhere.Would love a video tutorial!

Hello,my team and I are trying to setup a workflow for our users to talk to Fin to answer questions. We are attempting to use the “Customer opens a new conversation in the Messenger” workflow to start the conversation with Fin. However, it appears that Fin can not be placed in step “A. Welcome”. You have to click “I have a question” which points to step “B. Path” where Fin is then initialized and can take over from there.In contrast, when using a workflow that starts with “Customer clicks a website element” we are able to place Fin in to Step A as desired.Is it possible to have Fin initialized in Step A for the “customer opens a new conversation in the messenger” workflow? If not, I would love some more details about why this is a limitation. Thank you!

Hello! 😊We noticed that upon pressing a Sad emoji on a Help Center article, we are asking people to Send us a message. This seems to only available on iOS, and not on Android. Regardless, we really need it disabled.We have already disabled the “automatically start a message”, but we also need the manual way out :) How can we do this? Thank you! 

We are syncing User data from Segment to Intercom via Identify calls.We want to update company name for User from Segment to Intercom.When we Identify call for updating Company name in user. we can see that fields are passed to Intercom from Segment, but when we see Qualification Section in User details. Company Name is not updated. but when we export user details, latest company name is shown in Excel file.

There's one other thread I can see on this topic that hasn't been touched since Feb 2021. Hopefully the 'answer' has changed. I'd like to sync Tier 3 tickets with Azure DevOps (aka Azure Boards). I'd love for the integration to work like GitHub's, or better yet, like Jira's. A little time searching online shows that merge.dev has connectors for both Intercom and Azure DevOps, and with its native support for a Ticket entity, seems to have bi-directional syncing. https://merge.dev/integrations/intercom. We could use their free license level to do this, I imagine. Would prefer something direct and native from Intercom or this community. Thanks!

Our company did a rebranding and changed their domain and we need to change this domain in Intercom too but I don't find any edit or remove button.

How can I search Fin’s content in our conversations? In instances where Fin has said something incorrect to many customers we need to quickly find all instances where Fin said a particular piece of information so we can correct.When I search the information Fin gave out it brings up no conversations, even though it’s been part of many conversations. I am copy pasting the fin content/key words from the conversations so it is accurate. Thank you for your assistance!

Trying to set up a Custom Action that, when triggered from a conversation part in Inbox, POSTs the content of that conversation part as JSON along with some other information about the user & conversation to a webhook catch URL (Zapier, in this case): When I’m sending sample data through the Custom Actions UI, this works perfectly every time, the webhook catches the data and I can parse it and go on my merry way.But as soon as I use the Custom Action on real conversation data in Intercom, I get sporadic errors. The logs say this is because an Error occurred validating request values, but there’s no way to see anything else about what might be causing this:To make things more confusing, triggering the Custom Action for one message in the conversation is sometimes successful, while triggering the Custom Action for a different message in the same conversation fails! I can only guess that some characters in the message aren’t being escaped and therefore the JSON is not valid. Has anyon

Hi there, We’re having an issue with the Intercom Inbox, we’ve just integrated Instagram/Facebook messagers to come through via the native integration.  The previous tool were inforbip, which help us collect messagers from Instagram/Facebook.But it always show  another app is controlling while we have already disconnected from the platform we used before. We have tried many times to reinstalling but still error. Hello We’ve integrated Intercom SDK on Android (15.5.1) & iOS (16.3.1) platforms. We found several differences in the implementation between Android & iOS, could you help us to understand the reason of this case?  “Powed by Intercom” label is visible on Android, on iOS - no No close or create messages buttons on Android, on iOS - yes No close chat button, only get back to messages on Android
