Hey there!  I am onboarding my team of admin and clinical members to Intercom. They’ve been using Gmail and Google Voice to interact with patients, but we will making the full switch to Intercom soon.  What are ways to help introduce them to using Intercom? I know this will take lots of practice to get used to, as it’s more of a muscle memory concept. But has anyone in here seen great success using certain internal communications with your teams when going through the onboarding steps? I know they are very nervous, and I’d like to make them feel as comfortable and empowered to use this as quickly as possible.  Any advice appreciated!  Thank you!

Hello Intercom Community,I’m relatively new to interacting with APIs. I’m trying to extract the list of all contacts following the instructions from the API documentation.My ultimate goal is to run this GET request every let’s say 1 hour and then from the resulting set to get the data I need for the contacts who have an “updated_at” value later than a <fixed threshold_time> (ie. the most recently updated items). If I understood correctly it is not possible to provide sorting parameters for this GET request (eg. based on descending “updated_at”).So my question is: What is the default sorting method that defines the order of items in the resulting list of contacts. I’m not not if that’s “updated_at” or “last_seen_at” or any other field. If I know for instance that contacts are by default sorted based on descending “updated_at” then I can paginate through the results, and get the data from each page, until I reach a page with “updated_at” values earlier than my <fixed threshold_t

Hi, I’m having a problem setting up a product tour.One of my steps asks users to download our plugin, however, a small set of our users might have already installed it, meaning the “Download Plugin” button won’t exist.Here’s the info I saw in another post:“If the pointer step in a tour is unable to identify the correct element on the page because the CSS selector associated with the tour step and the CSS selector associated with element on your site do not match, the pointer step will instead show as a “post” step.”I’m facing an issue here - this post step that defaults has no option for customers to press Next or Skip.Meaning if the CSS selector isn’t there, there’s no “if” logic for a user to be able to manually move onto the next step.Is there a way to allow users to move onto the next step if the above occurs?

Hi everyone. I have a following use caseI want to tag some users based on the workflow in Intercom. After the specific tag appears on the customer in Intercom, I want this customer to automatically appear in the Segment in Customer.io I tried to meddle with the  zapier, but it does not offer the specific action “add to segment in customer.io”. Can someone help with this? 

Hey there, We have been using Intercom in two of our domains, the root domain, and also a subdomain website. We set up two proactive messages something like this,First proactive messageset Where to send as if current page URL is https://mydomain.com along with Visitor audienceSecond proactive messageset Where to send as if current page URL is https://sub.mydomain.com along with User audienceBut if a user visits our website with the following sequence,visit root domain https://mydomain.com, and a new conversation gets auto triggered (unread) visit sub domain https://sub.mydomain.com and logged in as user, because there is one conversation is opened in step 1, and the data is shared, Intercom shows user that conversation again.I tried a lot of different settings such as using condition as NOT CONTAIN subdomain, it still doesn’t work. When I am scheduling an email from a one of my sales reps I get this message: Check [email address] and verify your address, then try sending your message again.  When my rep attempts to send an email, he also gets the same email.  He does not get any emails for “verifying”.  What does this mean?

I am using the API. When I retrieve a conversation and inspect each of its conversation_parts, I see each of them has an author. However, there seems to be no information regarding who this message is addressed to. Is it possible to get that information? Or at least to know wheter it is internal or external communication.

We have tried all the top line customer support solution and always had our eye on Intercom, 2024 we are in. May we all have success in the New Year. So far only 1st day using Intercom but enjoying our onboarding and the startup flow is quite nice. Almost NYE! Dave

API 2.3 via PHP+cURL:  I can SET or CHANGE the external_id but any attempt to set the external_id to empty posting {'external_id':''} to https://api.intercom.io/contacts/... is returned with a 200 OK but the external_id retains the former value. I have tried with '' and null to no avail.

Hello!I’m trying to create, using Intercom API, a ticket with one or more attachments.I’ve created a Ticket Type that contains one Ticket Type Attribute (named Files) of data_type ‘files’.Then, following the API documentation for the POST request to create a ticket, I’ve created this payload:That, as long as the Files are an empty array ([]) works out.If I try to add the files data, I always receive this kind of error: Couple of details:I’ve read the other similar question here with no luck I have tried all the combinations for Files, like, a list of objects with one entry, an object containing a files property that is a list of objects and so on and so forth.
