Is it feasible to have separate bots for each page or URL of my website, including articles and news? If this is achievable, should I create separate bots, articles, and news sections for each part of my website, or are there alternative methods to accomplish this?

I want to run a custom bot with a caveat that my rep is able to take control of the conversation anytime i.e. even if the custom bot has not completed the entire sequence.  So essentially the chat is assigned to a rep but as the rep is currently unavailable the bot is interacting using the predetermined sequence. As soon as the representative becomes available, he takes over, the custom bots stops its sequence and the rep handles the entire conversation. How do we implement this. And what functions we can leverage not limiting to custom bot, inbox automation rules etc.

Hi everyone, I’m posting here in the desperate try to get somebody from Intercom online to help with reinstating the account which was frozen due to too many failed payments associated with the card you guys had on file. We’ve since changed the payment method and fixed the errors that led to unintentional problems with the card and the invoice was processed. However, we’ve been collectively logged out of our workspace and are still unavailable to attend to the support queries which have been piling up in the inbox since the Saturday morning. It’s been 48 hours now without any response from either the response team or our designated account managers. Can somebody/anybody please help and immediately? For context, we’ve tried reinstating the account from inside the admin, however, we were unable to do that as we were experiencing the you already have an account error prompt. Which format work best for Fin? It seems that Snippets are better processed by Fin. In this case, I am wondering if there is a solution to manage this content with efficiency. Is there a way I can isolate snippets on the same subject to make the changes needed? Or should I only count on my classification (titles) to do so? Is there a hierarchy in Fin’s choice to use an article or a snippet? What makes it choose an article from another? Or an article rather than a snippet? I’ve added a new attribute to my Conversation object. The attribute is a Reference to a Custom Object. I have a workflow, and I’m trying to branch off a value in the Custom Object, but the newly added reference in the Conversation is not showing up. I have a Custom Action that’s populating the Custom Object and mapping the reference in the Conversation to the new object. Any clue what could be going on? Do new attributes take a long time to propagate to workflows?

Hi *,I recently stumbled upon the last-seen attribute being some days behind the last activity we log in our backend for most of our users.Is there some logic behind how last seen is being updated (especially by just using intercom-rails to integrate)?

We want to provide option to the Support Engineer before he closes the conversation, whether a Case should be created for the conversation or not. For this we wanted to show up a button which the Support Engineer will select before he closes the conversation. This button or input should be seen only by the Support Engineer and not by the Customer. How can we achieve this?

I am in the process of creating a large help center with long articles. We are organizing many of the articles (as suggested) with anchored links to the Heading 1s within the article at the article’s beginning. But creating the TOC  at the top is very time consuming as you have to enter the TOC text, scroll down to copy the anchored link, scroll up to link the heading, scroll down again, etc. Is there a faster way to do this - i.e. - autogenerate a TOC for all heading 1s or at the very least, copy the heading text and link at the same time? 

I am trying to create a custom object and no matter what I type I get this error every time I hit save. I have tried different object names and always get the same result. It even happened during the walkthrough tutorial. Any ideas of how I can fix it? Thanks in advance.

Hi! My question is, can we get only specific fields while making a request to intercom API? What I mean is can we somehow mention that we need only one or a couple of fields? For example by adding “&fields=type, total_count” to the request URI for getting conversations. Getting all fields for all conversations is just absolutely not optimal, especially considering the body part of the conversation. Moreover, the more conversations we will get, the heavier each update of this date will be. 

Open the intercom modal → swipe left (the go back gesture) → the app freezes as a result. When using two permission prompts in a mobile carousel and the first prompt is accepted the second prompt gets marked as accepted automatically when the user hasn’t accepted it yet.In this example I enabled the notification permissions and the location permissions updated to show it was accepted when I never tapped the `Enable Location` permissions button. I have a custom action for creating hubspot tickets and today the formatting for `conversation.Transcript` has changed in the way it encodes line breaks. I am able to use the tools to specify the URL and add tour steps to test the feature, but the preview does not show up. I’ve tried changing the audience, even making it available to everyone (Users, Visitors, and Leads), but the preview still does not display. Is there perhaps a setting on my user profile, a permission or role, that needs to be adjusted?Thanks!

We use Intercom on our app to send links for users to perform actions, in the form of URL actions, something like bundleID://some/action Some of these actions take the user to other places in the app, so we want to dismiss Intercom. What’s the correct way to do this? There’s no API to dismiss Intercom, and the convoluted presentation mode (creating an ICMWindow on top of all the other windows) make it super awkward.

Hi guys, I’m new here and just getting familiar with Intercom. A bit of background on us. We have a multisided platform. One product is “Service Provider” and the other is “Consumer”.I’m wondering is it possible to have separate inbox folders which can organise users based on attributes “isServiceProvider” or “isConsumer”. So when we receive messages, they will automatically go to the correct inbox folder instead of All Users. I'm still figuring out best use cases and am a complete novice so any help would be appreciated. CheersRay
