When calling the IntercomModule.loginUserWithUserAttributes without an email it crashes because the IntercomHelpers.getValueAsStringForKey(params, “email”); line here is being called even if there is no email and there is no null check in that method: https://github.com/intercom/intercom-react-native/blob/9623a0c4822e91949d27357ef21df845cc91f38f/android/src/main/java/com/intercom/reactnative/IntercomModule.java#L139 . Same this would happen if no userId was passed in. Both values are checked to see if they are there, but even if they are not it still attempts to get them rom the params. It can be bypassed by passing in an empty string, but that is not ideal.

The Google Analytics Events that fire from Intercom don’t follow the proper Google Analytics 4 proper naming convention since they included spaces.  Don't use spaces. This creates issues especially for the Provided Email Address since it’s a common Conversion Event. It breaks when you try to call any of these events via API’s from Google Analytics 4.

Hey, Youtube allows you to link to a video starting at a certain timecode. Are there any plans to not strip that parameter and allow sharing videos this way?

Is there any way to continue a numbered list in an article if you need to insert a screenshot or a callout in the middle of the list. The numbering always returns to 1. I have resorted to actually having to type in numbering which is obviously not a great way to maintain documentation. 

Can the default message for articles that are hidden behind login can be changed? 'The page isn't here anymore' is bad user experience, especially for client user type. They are shared a link to learn more and they see with bold ‘The page isn’t here anymore’ and with really small font to maybe try logging into the platform.

Through our monitoring systems we’ve identified that sometimes API calls to https://api.intercom.io/conversations/{id}/reply are failing with a 403 response. The documentation is not clear on why this would happen. We’re seeing this ~3% of the time.

Hi,I’m building a custom intercom app. I have two APIs created for both Initialize flow webhook URL and Submit flow webhook URL and they work as I expected.The question is, It looks like these two API can’t be protected using API key or other authentication mechanism. Is there a way to confirm the requests come to these APIs are actually from Intercom, not from some malicious actors. Any help on this appreciated.

We want to trigger a custom app handler based on the link/button user clicks in the in-app message (web app). We do not want the user to navigate using this link, we rather want to get this event and react to it the way we need. How to do it? I.e. we want to open some particular page in our web app with some param. But messenger only allows us to insert link and users to navigate to those links directly.

I have a ticket set up for users to submit bugs. They click on an element, I launch the Messenger to have user create the ticket. However, I want to track the URL that the user was on when they submitted the bug/ticket.  Is there a way to do this?

Hi there, I am looking for advice on how to best manage API calls for our business application.It appears that using the API, multiple calls will be necessary to be able to perform given actions. For example, if a user has signed into our application and wishes to start a conversation, from what I understand they will have to:- Fetch their id with their email using the /contacts/search endpoint- Create a conversation with their id using the /conversations endpoint- If successful, we want to refresh our device to display the new message and created conversation, meaning we must hit the /conversations/id endpointFor this flow, this is 3 calls per action, which could add up quite substantially if multiple users are operating simultaneously.Is there a better way to do this? Perhaps I am not using the API as efficiently as I could be. Thanks!

When launch button is visible screen rotation doesn’t work correct, content is rotating with wrong layout and status bar doesn’t rotate at all.

We use phone number and system ID to distinguish contacts in Intercom, most of our users don´t have email address set. It's not possible for us to use CSV import feature to update our contacts, because email is mandatory.We have 600k records where we need to update attribute name from our system name to empty name as we are planning to start using Intercom Messages and our system name is prefilled in every conversation, which is not desirable behavior.The only option we see is to use REST API to update each individual order, sending 1 request per contact. But by doing that in single migration we will soon hit API calls limit, also we will disrupt our regular Intercom integration.Dear community, is there any other ways for us to perform such an update in Intercom?Maybe someone from devteam could help us updating this internally for us?Maybe we can use some bulk update API call we can't see for now?Maybe it is possible to have email field not mandatory for CSV Import for our account? Tha

I am able to update my support profile image, but can I update the floating/clickable chat icon that displays in my website? It’s currently the little text bubble icon/graphic. I would like it to be my profile image so my site users understand that they can click there and reach me.

I have an which gets customer conversations and displays them in a Whatsapp-esque UI.The problem is that in order to do this, I have to:- Hit an endpoint that will get the contact information using their email- Hit an endpoint using their contact id to create a conversation- If this conversation creation is successful, hit the endpoint to fetch the conversation to display the latest message to the user.This seems very inefficient at present. Is there a better way to use the API?Thanks

In the /me endpoint, what are the valid values for the app.region property? In my test account, I get back the string “US”, but what are the values for the EU and Australian regions? (Or any other that are supported.)

An automated message was set up to send to the users after they onboard the programs. But the message is coming from an employee account who created those automated message templates. What I want to do is to dynamically changing the sender’s email address of the employees who is assigned to look after the particular user.  Is there a way to adjust the setting in intercom so these automated messages look like they are coming from that designated employee who is actually assigned to the user's account?

I am using custom intercom launcher and want to use it in 'French' language. Therefore, I am using 'language_override' option. We’re trying to add Intercom functionality on a website that holds all the functionality inside an iframe. We’ve installed the Intercom Messenger on the same iframe level, but when trying to add a Product Tour or a Tooltip we get the following error: “Sorry, we can't load the tools to build Product Tours on your website. Please make sure the Intercom Messenger is installed on the URL you have chosen to build your tour.” As the URL we’re using a src attribute for the iframe.Please advice if this approach is supported and what URL should we pass in this case when designing a Product Tour/Tooltip functionality.
