Hey all. We use Shopify + Intercom. We currently already have Intercom integrated and working.We are looking to achieve a simple thing and seem to be getting nowhere. How/where in Shopify do we go to make it so that we can code a button to activate the Intercom messenger to open up?Most websites have buttons like “Chat Now” that would activate their chat widget.

I recently created a post (no reply - only ability to react) with emoji reactions. Emojis can be interpreted differently; for example, a thinking face might convey curiosity, interest but also concerns, or doubts.Two hands together in prayer could be interpreted as “pray” but also “please”.  Could we implement a small popup message when hovering over emojis to briefly describe what each reaction represents? This way, we’ll ensure that everyone is clear on what each emoji represents and in turn, the data collected (and the reports we obtained) will be more meaningful. Just an idea to see what the community thinks about this?

I have 3 projects and 3 domains for each one.I want to integrate these into a single intercom workspace.But thr problem is that when I visit one of my 3 websites, click the intercom button, type some text and click the sending button, the message is displayed not only in the current websites but also displayed in other 2 websites.This is a critical issue for me.I have tried session_id, and other things but it doesn’t work.I’ve developed my sites by using Next.js.How can I handle this?

How can I disable or hide the “Get more Help” button?

Hi,We have a set of common customer support issues in our profile section and on click we would like to launch Intercom and open a new chat with an agent/bot and bypass the Intercom first page showing Inbox, Send Message, etc. We have one engineer who isn’t very experienced with the tool looking at the issue and he thinks it’s not possible. But to me that feels like a basic piece of customisation a customer might require.  Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hey, I am curious to know how other companies handle email management. Currently, we are using a third-party app to manage our emails and use intercom for live chats. However, ideally we would want to migrate email support into intercom so that we can save some money. The problem we are facing is that we have multiple inboxes with different signatures for each one. For example, one inbox has a generic signature without specifying agent names, but other inboxes require agent names to be visible. Is this even possible? We’re happy to change our procedures quite a bit to make this work, but email signatures is non negotiable. 

Currently on our company we are trying to implement the intercom messenger on our Ionic Capacitor Angular project, so for that we are using the @capacitor-community/intercom plugin. IssuesAfter clicking on the intercom messenger the wrong styles are being applied for android and ios. QuestionsCan it be some configuration missing inside intercom dashboard ? Can the plugin be out of date ? Is there an way of fixing this ? Inside our intercom dashboard we have styles for web messenger and for our apps and for some reason in our app projects it keeps going for the web default styles. NotesWhen creating the styles we ensured that we are using the correct package name (com.companyname.appname) this is what we have inside capacitor config file and config.xml The unexpected behaviour screenshot is what we currently see (web styles). Hello,We use intercom on a react-native expo app using @intercom/intercom-react-native 8.1.0We have different Intercom workflow set for “When customer opens a new conversation in the Messenger” based on day/time, custom attributes.We noticed our Android users always see the first workflow they have been presented, even if another one should be shown. We were indeed able to reproduce it. This issue happen no matter how the new conversation window is triggered, either when the user start a new conversation from the Home space or using Intercom.presentMessageComposer();This issue does not happen on iOS and one way to “fix” it is by force quitting the app from the android app settings

I am using the “Article search” app in my Messenger (on web) and I am not seeing the expected suggested article behaviour described as “Suggested articles will respect your article's targeting criteria”.I have the Intercom Messenger active on 2 domains, “a.example.com” and “b.example.com”. The articles relevant to each domain are organised into collections. I have created an audience for each domain, targeting “Leads, Users and Visitors” with a “Current Page URL” of “contains {domain}”. For example, for “a.example.com” I have an audience configured to “Current Page URL contains a.example.com”. I want to display the message count on my custom intercom launcher but I find the count is not being accurately reported by the onUnreadCountChange function until the Intercom widget is opened. When the page is loaded and the handler is initially registered it always returns 0 unread messages until the widget is opened and then it will return the correct number (in this case 2). Here’s an example of what is being logged to the handler before (on load) and after the intercom launcher is clicked. Hello, I tried to use react-use-intercom in my nextjs project, everything works fine on desktop, safari but the chat hides on other browsers when using mobile devices. Please help me fix the issue. Thanks!

I'm being prevented from putting the email in the body of the intercom web message, every time I try to put it in, I get: POST 403 (Forbidden). Why is this happening? Can't I send the email? Hi,  We have intercom messaging via our web app (react application with intercom/messenger-js-sdk). We’d like to log in our user so we can retain conversations with them, but we don’t want to track their location or page views, is there a way to stop collecting this information?  Thanks!

Hey!In our use case, we are creating a contact (user or a lead) and then booting the intercom messenger for the created contact.When we are creating a user, we return the user external_id and hash that was generated, and we start the messenger with this data, this way the user sees correct conversation and history.We want to do the same for a created lead, we don’t want to generate the lead on the client side, but on the backend and then use the lead data to boot the messenger.We seems to be missing something, because we could not get the messenger started for a lead.We try using the lead.id, lead.external_id, with and without the lead hash, added the createdAt timestamp, tried a combination of those properties, but nothing seems to start the messenger for a specific lead.What data does the boot function want to get to allow us to start if for a specific lead?Thank you!

One of our users has sent an screenshot of our site. A smiling magnifying glass shows right where the intercom FAB is located by default. We are trying to figure out if this is an intercom button or some other extension. The page in question hides with code the intercom FAB. Could this be the cause for this issue? Could the user have started an action in intercom and then navigated to this screen resulting in this button showing up?  

So when a user reach out to us on the chatbot, the chatbot sends out the automatic messages “Give the team a way to reach out” and ask for the email. How can I disable this or configure this? 

Trying to get started with the messenger but unable to get it to appear. Like the title says, using React and Next.What I have so far in my app:Intercom is loaded (`window.Intercom` is defined)"boot" and "update" are getting called in the correct spots with the (presumably) correct payloadsI'm getting successful responses back from `https://widget.intercom.io/widget/APP_ID`as well as `https://api-iam.intercom.io/messenger/web/ping`/li>In the DOM, there is a hidden iframe element with id `intercom-frame` and a div with id `intercom-lightweight-app`. The div only contains a style element, there is no contentCurious what could prevent the messenger button from appearing when everything I mentioned above appears to be working correctly

Hey Everyone, So i’ve been having this issue where Intercom isn’t saving users chats if they log in on a different platform - The big issue being that with Kajabi, it’s really have to to get the “logged in user” data from Kajabi. they are very particular with the data they share. I did find a post here about some code to install in the Theme.Liquid file, and i’ve tried that but not sure i’ve it correctly. I’m wondering if anyone else has any experience solving this issue.  I believe it’s just a matter of pointing intercom to where it can get the correct User ID or email from kajabi, but i’ve gone back and forth with Kajabi and they aren’t super helpful. Any tips or help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you!

howdy! 🤠does anyone know if it’s possible to send a user to another page after successfully completing a checklist? The idea would be to use the action button on the celebration section of the messenger to send the user to a related topic.At the moment I only see one option for the action button: close completion screen.
